Louis Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 It's being reported in the Sunday Express that Everton are very interested in Bosnia's Besic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhamed_Be%C5%A1i%C4%87 I attempted to merge this topic with another for the same player and have accidentally deleted the other topic. Romey 1878 Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 Reports saying he'll sign for Swansea on a three year deal. Quote
Lowensda Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 That's unfortunate. Liked the look of him. Quote
Louis Posted July 10, 2014 Author Report Posted July 10, 2014 The Mirror are saying that he's close to joining us... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-poised-transfer-muhamed-besic-3840998 The midfielder, a stand-out for his country in Brazil this summer, is about to join the Goodison club after Martinez picked him out. Romey 1878 Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I'll be very pleased if that's true. Quote
Steve_E Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Don't really remember him from the World Cup, but his Youtube highlights from the Nigeria game are decent enough. He looks sort of vampiric though... Quote
EvertonianFL Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Good signing for me...especially at that price. I'm glad Roberto wants to add some more youth to the midfield Quote

Peter H Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 "Besic, who represented the chance to represent Germany at youth level in order to play for Bosnia-Herzegovina U21s in 2010, can also play at centre-back." Great writing by the journalist. Represented the chance to represent. Are all the real journalists on holiday? Quote

bluenosetoffee Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Don't know a lot about the player but hopefully he will be a hidden gem. Do we need another defensive midfielder though? He wouldn't come to Everton if he wasn't guaranteed first team football. Signing Barry on a three year deal and the McCarthy link up it would be difficult. Plus the fact that Gibbo is fit again. Quote
StevO Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 I doubt we would be guaranteeing anyone to be first choice. If he believes in his own ability he will put himself in the team. Looks a promising player. Quote
Popular Post Cornish Steve Posted July 11, 2014 Popular Post Report Posted July 11, 2014 I'm surprised at comments along the lines of "but do we really need...". Yes, we do! We need to build a larger, stronger squad so that, even with half the team out injured, we can continue to push for a top four place. duncanmckenzieismagic, nutmegwolf203, efc1111 and 3 others 6 Quote
