Houston24 Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 (edited) After watching the US in the world cup, I've decided to get into soccer. Tim Howard is my favorite player so I thought Everton was the best pick. I don't know much about soccer or Everton. Any other forums I should check out? I'd appreciate anything you guys have to share. Edited July 1, 2014 by Houston24 Quote

Matt Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Welcome! Plenty of Amurkins on here so you should feel quite at home No point checking for other forums, you already stumbled upon the best Quote
johnh Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Welcome in Houston24. I was in Houston in 1983. Started supporting Everton in 1946. Once you start - it is for life! Quote

rubecula Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Bill, 78 last St. Patrick's day. Managed 9 holes of golf today though! Welcome to the forum to yet another of our American friends. (from the suddenly young feeling Rubes ) Quote
thoward18 Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Bill, 78 last St. Patrick's day. Managed 9 holes of golf today though! My parents are in their late 50s and can barely use email. This is fucking impressive. Anyways, welcome from a fellow American! My biggest advice to you is to not be afraid to ask questions. What I love about Everton fans is that they don't have the usual Eurosnob attitude. They're very proud of their history, and thus they are not only willing, but happy to explain things to you about the club and its history. Quote
evilweevil666 Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Welcome, from yet another American. You've picked the best club in the world. Quote
Sibdane Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Welcome! Can't have too many Americans on here. I know our British brothers probably won't say the same (kidding) Quote
MadMax Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 I guess there's no need to start a new thread, as this would be the title of one I'd create as well. Fourth generation Houstonian here, who has been trying to find a rooting interest in an EPL club for a while...Tim Howard made it Everton! Thankful for forums and for Twitter to help me learn more and get connected with other fans...I'm still learning! Quote
Romey 1878 Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 Welcome . We're going to be overran by Americans at this rate! MadMax 1 Quote
verreauxi Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 Welcome to the site. I tend to follow all teams Chicago (and Everton). Quote

verreauxi Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 "Vacation bible school" is some thing I see on placards in my parts of the US these summers. That always sounded like an oxymoron to me. Quote
