SicEmBears Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 I don't know if y'all get tired of hearing this, but I'm another bandwagon American fan after watching Tim Howard's performance in the world cup (and Lukaku's heartbreaking goal against us as well). I've been very impressed with Everton's history and passionate fanbase, and I will be following you guys through this upcoming season. I'll be studying abroad in England next spring, and I hope to catch a game at Goodison while I'm there. Oh, I'm also a new soccer fan, so I'll be learning a whole lot through this site. Everton seems to be the new team of choice around here. I look forward to a great season! Quote

I'm another Yank, but have been a fan of the game pretty much all my life, and a fan of Everton since the late 90s or so. In this latter regard, I'm still a newbie here as well. Quote
johnh Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) Welcome in. You do realise that 'once an Everton fan, always an Everton fan'? It is a lifetime commitment. I started in about 1943, but as there was no organised football during the war, had to wait until 1946 for my first game. You couldn't have made a better decision though. Enjoy the ride! SicEmBears Posted July 15, 2014 Author Report Posted July 15, 2014 Thanks for the welcome everyone! I definitely won't be a fair-weather fan and will stick with Everton from here on out. It's good to see that there are plenty of Everton fans across the states. I'll be sure to catch as many games as possible despite the time difference. Quote
