markjazzbassist Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Baines for me was a terror on the left. Quote
Paddock Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Naismith although I missed bits of the first half he looked great in what I saw. Second half you coudn't pick anyone. Quote
Sibdane Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 I thought Pienaar played well and linked up a ton of play. He never stopped moving. Quote
Toffee_in_LA Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Went with Naismith for not only having a solid 1st half but also for being the only player that kind of showed up in the 2nd Romey 1878 1 Quote
Mirallas Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 I felt like it had to go to McGeady. excellent position play and a terror to LC's defense + scored. That's the McGeady we want to see. He did his job excellently. Quote

That's the McGeady we want to see. He did his job excellently. Brilliant goal but far to inconsistent for me. Very frustrating player. Quote
Shukes Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Ye Mcgeady did have a decent game in spells but gotta go Naismith as he played consistently good. Quote
Brett Angel Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 I'm gonna go with Baines. Two good goals and both played well but Baines didn't stop giving in an attacking sense all game. Looked the fitest and made us look one sided for most of the game with great link up play with pienaar. Quote
JoeQuince Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 I've got to go with Baines. Naismith did well early on, but was extremely wasteful and impatient in the second half. Quote
duncanmckenzieismagic Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Don't know how to vote on my phone but will be giving it to Baines. Thought Piennar made a mockery of the fools who have written him off Quote
Matt Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Easily Naismith. If Baines hadn't disappeared in the second half, he probably would've pipped it. Quote
StevO Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Naismith, but for me his style of play really doesn't work with Lukaku. I wonder if next week we see Naismith up front and Lukaku wide right like we did last season against Arsenal? Quote
Romey 1878 Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Naismith, but for me his style of play really doesn't work with Lukaku. I wonder if next week we see Naismith up front and Lukaku wide right like we did last season against Arsenal? Arsenal will be ready for that this time so it may not be effective. Quote
StevO Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Maybe, but their left back Monreal is still wank. He needs to be targeted for me. I think Rom will have some luck against chambers, more than he had at Leicester anyway. Quote
djsunyc Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 baines naismith pienaar in that order. baines was being very creative and naismith is just a solid player that plays within his abilities. he can't make that spectacular pass but he makes the safe textbook play and doesn't look like you have to question his effort. i thought pienaar was very active and trying his hardest to create. mcgeady had that brilliant goal but felt he was hit or miss all day.
