Heather_6
We've seen him twice so far and he looks like he played quite well. He plays on the left of midfield (we need a left sided midfielder) and he can play upfront, which he prooved to us against C Crew. He has extended his trail as well, Do ya reckon we'll be keeping him? We should because he seems pretty good
Everton_Worshiper
Yep, I think he is staying....he will be low wages too.
Adams
Everton manager David Moyes has decided to extend the trial of South African international winger Delron Buckley. The 28-year-old featured in pre-season games against Preston and Celtic but headed back to Germany to his club side - Borussia Dortmund. However, Moyes has been fairly impressed with the Bafana Bafana star, and has invited the midfielder to link up with the rest of the Toffees squad during their 10-day trip to America. "It wasn't until late on Sunday night because I did not know if we could make it work," said Moyes. "It was only until we were travelling back that we could make the decision that we will keep him. "We have seen a bit of him but we couldn't use him that much in the last two games because it is unfair on the other lads that are already here. But we plan on maybe giving him longer in one or two of the games here to see if he is someone who can add something." Buckley is understood to be available on a season-long loan, which could be of interest to Everton, who have spent the majority of their transfer budget this summer. Romey 1878
Hes good at taking corners aswell, so maybe Mikel wont have to take them all if he stays. I reckon we should keep him myself, its a win win situation

StevO
Arteta was also a Rangers reject, and BARCA
Louis
He wasn't a Rangers reject? I seem to remember him being frustrated at Barcelona by lack of first team games and so when he was offered a contract by Rangers, Barca requested a buy back clause of the original transfer fee because they felt he had so much potential. Romey 1878
Well they got rid of him quite quickly back to his home town club Real Sociedad, i dont remember too well whether he wanted to go or Rangers got rid.

Mac
Good call Ian, I'm not the biggest Arteta fan in the world, but I realise his worth to the team, and more importantly to the fans. I like the kid, roll on more free kicks on the edge of the box. ATB Mac
Pat
I hope he hasnt used hos annual ration already. Adams
David Moyes is facing competition from Charlton and Bolton to sign striker Delroy Buckley.

Adams
Charlton are monitoring Everton's talks with Delron Buckley and could make a move to land the player on a season-long loan from Borussia Dortmund. Everton are in the driving seat having had the player on a two-week trial, but the South African international has now returned to Dortmund while David Moyes decides whether or not to move for the winger. Romey 1878
Charlton are only going to make a move if Moyes says he doesnt want Buckley. Personally i hope we get Buckley, we need numbers desperately and hes versatile
Guest fozzie22
No new signings..mark my words..(and i hope i'm wrong)
Adams
Probaly right there fozzie but it would be simple for us to get Buckley
Romey 1878
No new signings..mark my words..(and i hope i'm wrong) 43421[/snapback] I have to agree with you there. After Moyes saying we are looking at bringing players in but no signings are imminet, it basically said dont hold your breath about players coming in.
Adam
I agree Mark. I said when Dm said a month or so ago that he was hoping for more signings but wouldn't come till the end of the window it was just a delaying tatic as we would all just say that someone is coming in at the end of August. Don't think that we will sign anyone before the window closes
Mac
Sad but true Adam, but at least we have been active earlier in the off season. It would be nice to bolster our numbers, but I aint going to lose sleep over this. ATB Mac
Adams
Does no1 think we will sign Buckley?
Romey 1878
Its looking very doubtful over Buckley, if Moyes wanted him he'd be signed now. Lets hope we atleast bring one player in in January now.
Adams
I would have took Buckley people said he was a decent player and would add depth
