Shukes Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Tough one as I don't think anyone really stood out. Going for Besic as he looked very tidy and at least tried to turn forward for the most part. Quote
Guest millwallforever Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 I'll skip this one. Quote
MikeO Posted November 1, 2014 Author Report Posted November 1, 2014 My viewing was extremely limited today, didn't see enough to have an valid opinion. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Well I was there and I really can't think of anyone deserving. It was all very average. Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Mcgeady only one who looked like doing anything..inconsistent though...everyone else average Quote
Newty82 Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Going out on a limb here as I always vote without looking at anyone else's...Besic. Although he didn't play a full game, I though he was immense. Loads of energy, nice touches and glimpses of simple skill. Good passing. Him and McCarthy should play together more. They'd be unreal together. Mention to McCarthy for his energy. Also mention to the yo - yo McGeady...He looked good today. Barkley also looked pretty nifty for most of the game. Quote
JoeQuince Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 McGeady was up and down. I can't help but notice that the whole team plays like shit every time he starts. I can't say he's to blame, but there's certainly some correlation. I voted McCarthy. I wish those moments where he grabs the game by the scruff of the neck weren't just moments and that he took the initiative to make things happen more often. Quote

Bailey Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 McCarthy for me. Didn't think anyone played badly but also not too many players stood out across the whole game. I thought McCarthy was very good first half and his energy and commitment was epitomised by his 40-50 yard run and one two late on. Quote
rubecula Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 nobody looked very bad but nobody looked good enough either. I will not vote this time. I can't think of anyone I want to vote for. Romey 1878 1 Quote
Paddock Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Barry for me. Had a really good game and was asked to drop to centre half. Played out of position and never put a foot wrong. Agree that it was just an average all round performance but Barry stood out above an average crowd today. Bony never got a sniff all game. Quote
Paddock Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Who the fuck voted for Mcgeady and even funnier Barkley Barkley was really poor yesterday and gave the ball away twice again in our final third trying to be a smart arse. Thought Besic had a really poor game too. Quote
Hafnia Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Lee carsley said Barkley will have his adrenaline game, which he did. Then the reality of not being fit will kick in. Quote
chicagoblue Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Has to be McCarthy. He was everywhere and very tidy. If he could learn to shoot we'd have a real weapon. He never shapes to shoot and when he does it takes him that extra half second and he's closed down. Can't remember the last proper effort he had on goal. Don't think Besic did anything wrong, not sure how he was 'poor'. Quote
Paddock Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Lee carsley said Barkley will have his adrenaline game, which he did. Then the reality of not being fit will kick in. He isn't going to be fit to be fair , he's just come back from a lengthy lay-off but that doesn't excuse his carelessness and sloppiness in his own final third where he keeps giving the ball away trying to be Pele when alls he has to do is keep it simple. I worry that Barkley is starting to believe in is own hype and is going down that dangerous road of thinking he is better than he actually is. Quote
Paddock Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Don't think Besic did anything wrong, not sure how he was 'poor'. He gave the ball away a fair few times and was caught out of position and day dreaming a few times. He was by no means the worst player on the pitch but I personally thought he had a poor game. I'm astounded he got 3 MOM votes to be honest but everyone has a different interpretation of a game I guess. Quote
Paddock Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Barkley will be fine. We'll see. I hope you're right though. Quote
