Romey 1878 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Really can't think of anyone that actually played well. So no one. Quote
Aidan Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Ross was the only one that actually looked like he gave two shits about losing. Disgraceful performance, the worst mentality going into a match so far this season. Lazy, poor, idea-less and fucking dreadful performance. Fuming is an understatement. I don't even want to think about mentioning Distin and Barry. Quote

Guest millwallforever Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) Really? I don't see that myself. And you made a typo on Gareth Barrys score. Still cant see why, 0 is nowhere near 5. It was a shite performance. Jagielka, Mirallas, and Barkley were the only ones who didn't look pissed out there. Barry seriously looked disoriented at times. Newty82 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Barkley. The only one who played with proper intensity for the full game. Quote
Guest rusty747 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Mirallas for me. He did more in the 60 minutes he was on the pitch than anyone else did in 90. Quote
Shukes Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Mirralas. A goal and ran at them. No one else really did anything for as long as him. Maybe Jags for playing the whole game. Ross played in spells but needs to be more confident and enjoy his football. Quote
MikeO Posted November 30, 2014 Author Report Posted November 30, 2014 Going with "none of the above". Quote
duncanmckenzieismagic Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Roberto Martinez for the tactical change, that plan B was a stroke of genius Quote
Guest millwallforever Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 His aim was to take them out as early as possible and subsequently to defend our lead. Do you have any suggestions as to how a plan B should have been implemented? Yes, if we had had a Peter Crouch, we could have hoofed it for the last 20 minutes - but we don't. The two cock-ups were not his fault. Roberto Martinez for the tactical change, that plan B was a stroke of genius Quote

Ok the cock ups may not have been his fault but we never do have a plan B Teams have sussed us out this season and just press us high up the pitch and we don't have an answer for it, hence us being a mid table side Matt 1 Quote

The thing that gets me is our forwards are really good counter attackers, Barkley, Mirallas and even Lukaku are fantastic on the counter. We should be letting teams come on to us and breaking on the counter.... See Wolfsburg. We're taking all the possession but can't break through the bus. Quote

Teams know we're good at counter-attacking though, and therefore let us have the ball and then laugh at us while we pass it in front of them and go absolutely nowhere. Matt and Toffee_in_LA 2 Quote

Romey 1878 Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 If that's the case we need to go more direct then. We definitely need to mix it up a bit (have a plan B!), but the thing that would make all the difference is just to move the ball with a bit more pace! There's no oomph to our passing at all, and very little movement from our players - we have players just standing about, or the player that passes the ball just stands there afterwards instead of moving into space to make themselves available for the ball again. chicagoblue Posted December 2, 2014 Report Posted December 2, 2014 Had to be between Jags and Barkley. Kev was alright but he's not fit, half the team looked unfit though, and that's probably why we lost it. Jags didn't put a foot wrong though and tried to drive the team on until the last. Quote
