Hafnia
Stuart psycho Pearce.... what a fuckin cock. I was never bought in to his hard man bullshit with his super small shorts pulled up to make his legs look bigger. His 10000 yard stare after he scored a goal. Maybe he needs to understand.... small clubs don't sign players for £20m plus... we are collecting them at the moment.

markjazzbassist
It's just the established order struggling to accept the revolution that is going on at Everton. They can bleat about it being the Lukaku money all they want, but the fact is that even if he goes and we get £100m for him then we will reinvest into the playing squad and become much stronger. Spurs sold Bale for a fortune, it took them a few seasons but now they are title contenders rather than also rans. Last year the lanky blonde year at BT Sport, Jake Dumphrey, predicted a "long hard slog" for Everton. How wrong was he, we were comfortably clear of everyone else in 7th. This season we will be much much closer to the top 4, if not already in there. Top post

c1982
Anyone any thoughts about his ideal partner? Not fully convinced Williams is the man. I think Williams' leadership skills will be a vital part of our defence next season. Keane right cb and Williams left cb will be solid. Bill
Not sure of that, we need another decent younger centre half. I found Williams to be average at best, didn't improve our defence at all. SimonButtle
London Blue
Not sure of that, we need another decent younger centre half. I found Williams to be average at best, didn't improve our defence at all. He was poor when partnering Jags as Jags was in such terrible form till he came back at the end of the season. When he partnered the other center backs he was great, sharp tackling, good reading of the game and snuffed out danger early. If we had not had him our defense would not gone from one of the most porous to one of the tightest. Bailey
I just got the impression that Jags and Williams were 2 seasoned pros who had their own ways of doing things. A case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians in defence. Usually in a defensive pairing one player would go and attack the ball and the other would look to clear up. Both Jags and Williams come across as that clearing up guy and that's why it didn't really work too well. I think Keane is more of a cover player as well so not sure that would change much. StevO
No problem with him next to either Jags or Williams as long as he learns to be the leader for the following season.
