They're having a stormer at £25mill with 12months left on his contract. Makes our supposed price for Barkley and Lukaku make sense.

Peter H
I am amazed that the club has acted in this way. 5 really good signings already in the bag and its the 4th July. Im just so fucking happy at the moment. Keane is probably my fave signing so far. That could change the way the club is acting. Still, we all know that Barkley and Lukaku are leaving and im hoping that the club isnt finished yet because these 5 signings were needed even before we lose 2 of our best players. nutmegwolf203 and Lowensda

Hafnia
Got a team of lads who know the score.... this lad is a leader and along with the like of pickford, Davies, lookman will be making up the leadership core of the England side in 4 years. I remember us saying similar about Stones not so long ago... Keane and possibly Pickford I can see being potential leaders, but it's a bit early to pin anything on Davies and Lookman yet. I'm happy with the strong characters Koeman is bringing into the team for sure though.
Lowensda
Don't think Davies is a leader. Passionate but I get the impression he'd be the last to speak out about something. Lookman is timid. Pickford, absolutely. Keane, Pickford, Sneiderlin, Rooney are the only 4 I feel could be worthy captains. I know some like Williams and Klaassen have been captains respectively but in this current squad, I don't think they'd be outspoken enough imo. Hafnia
Don't forget Davies is only 19. He's been called a born leader... captained England under 16's 17's and 19's. You don't have to be an animated Tommy gravesen.... lead by example and know what you are meant to be doing. Quinn31
Having been a part of several organizations, not every good leader I've encountered is the type-A, dominant, outspoken type. A leader must command respect, set an example, and be able to convey their message/values but that can take shape in many forms. Aidan
He seems to be very switched on, and a professional. Knows what's best for his career, moved away from United to get first team football and develop, then moved here and in the process (depending on the level of interest) ignored interest from the Shite and Man U - because he knows he will play more here. I have no doubt in my mind that in the next few seasons he will develop into one of the league's best centre halfs, and I don't think there will be many more suited to leading the England defence in a few seasons. Defended reasonably well though. He looked very awkward on the left side. Towards the end he got caught completely flat footed and the Stoke player may walked past him unchallenged. I said Schneiderlin looked like he'd been on the pop in the match thead. First 20 minutes Keane was really poor on the ball as well. Looked like it was gonna be a repeat of the European games we've just had.
