JoeQuince
Had to give it to Robles. Made a few great saves by all accounts and saving the penalty was huge. Still don't buy him as our #1, but he should hold his head high today!
Gwlad
On balance, we're going through thanks to Joel,
Matt
Joel but only because of the penalty save. Funi had it until then.

Guest Howard's way
Joel just because the point blank save from that header would have flew past Howard whilst he's still in mid air
gethinO
Joel but a mention to Funes Mori who was good again tonight. Looks very comfortable and I feel much more confident in defending corners and free kicks when he's in our box as he always seems to get his head on it. Joel has to start on Sunday. Looked comfortable tonight and made some good saves. I believe Martinez will pick Howard though, unfortunately. chalkpie
So MOTM *doesn't* start on Sunday? SO fucking frustrated with Martinez sometimes. Edited October 27, 2015 by chalkpie
MikeO
The Independent gave MOTM to Ossie . http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/fa-league-cups/everton-vs-norwich-city-match-report-heartache-for-canaries-as-hosts-clinch-penalty-shoot-out-a6711341.html I love the guy but that's just insane. bluenosetoffee
Joel. He made some good saves, looked more confident than I have seen him in the past as well. He was shouting at defenders and also he was bringing a tempo to the game. How many times this season have you seen Howard save it and wait for all the players to get in position and then either pass to a defender or hoof it upfield hoping to reach Lukaku's head. Joel as soon as he got the ball he cleared it and Lukaku 9/10 was getting on the end of it and we had Norwich on the break. I just think Howard slows down play an awful lot and now makes a lot more poor judgements.Give Joel a shot against Sunderland!
Cornish Steve
I just don't know what he's trying to prove. He's trying to prove that a manager has a job to do based on his knowledge of players. A manager is not someone who makes decisions purely based on fan opinion. Anyone could do that and be paid minimum wage.
Matt
Regardless of Howards performances over the last 12 months, some of the fan treatment is a disgrace. If you're unhappy, thats understandable but it's the manager who is constantly picking him despite poor performances. Twitter is a cesspool for the most part. Hafnia
He's trying to prove that a manager has a job to do based on his knowledge of players. A manager is not someone who makes decisions purely based on fan opinion. Anyone could do that and be paid minimum wage. Sometimes managers may try to prove their position by going against "common sense" - its often said players performances will pick themselves - clearly not in this case. I stick by Martinez and offer a lot of support in the face of some deserved criticism - the same to Howard, but I feel he is getting this one all wrong. There is only so many times that Robles can pick himself up from the disappointment of playing well and being dropped. Another good young keeper could be getting wasted at Goodison. MikeO
Funes Mori was official MOTM incidentally. http://www.evertonfc.com/evertontv/archive/2015/10/27/funes-mori-is-man-of-the-match
