It's supposed to, the outside at least, so it fits in with its surroundings. Agree that the inside is a mess, but I'm saying it's the principle of the external design rather than the actual design that I'm hoping for

so it is meant to look like a derelict eyesore then?

It looks like a fucking factory from the outside and inside is shite. If it's anything like that then the Grand Old Lady will still look better.

Gonna say I like it a lot. Turning old industrial properties into residential/commercial properties and making them much nicer is quite a popular styling on this side of the pond.

You think that to match it we build new stuff and make them look like they are ready to be demolished then?  Sorry to disagree but if it looks anything like that we can plan on it being used for storing potatoes in

I would hope that we have the money to build a quality stadium, no matter the era of styling.

Something Liverpool has been doing a lot over the last 10 years or so too.

No not really, some do I suppose.  The Albert Dock is ok for a visit.  Let me say this though, the stadium does not look bad  but when you put it in context with it's function it is truly awful/

That's going to be one of the biggest challenges I think, balancing function with aesthetics

i just don't want another Echo Arena or that tacky casino

I just want modern. We've had old with Goodison for a long time, and as much as I love her, I want a new stadium to just that; new.

Modern sucks. I've been to the Etihad,  Wembley (albeit for a concert), and the Allianz and they don't have the presence of the Old Lady. Very underwhelming.

Fair enough mate :) hopefully it'll be a happy medium, so long as it's not like the ones mentioned above. They're soulless shells

Rather than fill in the hole left by the dock I would like to see a massive underground car park (like Monaco) so that you could park under the corner flag with plenty of exits for cars, buses and coaches.

You're on a river back to there's little choice exiting wise unless Moshiri fancies paying to dig a few tunnels.

?The modern stadium you all hate isan artist impression of the one planned for the Kings Dock. I seem to remember some people who liked it back then ;)

Anyway,, it seems better to me than the brick shed.  I do not care how modern or out of date the design may be as long as it is something we can be proud of, and the brick shed design is more vomit worthy than any other design we have seen of any stadiums anywhere else in the world.

I agree that we used to like them. Back then they looked great, but we’ve been to these modern stadiums since and they look pretty crap and dated already.

I like brick stadiums, that one in particular I’m not sure about. I love what Chelsea have done with their design around brick work.

I think red brick should be used as it fits in with the docks, but I’m a traditionalist.

yes that makes a lot of sense to me  I like the look of Villa Park and Old Trafford  but that is just a monstrosity.

If we end up with that, I will go there in a flat cap, donkey jacket and fuck off boots, carrying a billy can and a shovel.
