Aidan
Strange decision to drop pickford for this game. Absolutely no natural wide players. Maybe a 3 at the back with Nkounkou and sigurdsson in the wide areas?
Zoo 2.0
Wouldn't be surprised if Pickford is dropped due to the amount of shite he's been getting in the media and from "fans" in Liverpool. He's had to get personal security due to threats to his family, so without jumping to conclusions wouldn't be surprised if he's not in the right head space to play. A chance for Olsen to prove the doubters wrong (myself included). Hoping he has a good debut and we get the three points. Interesting formation too, 4-3-2-1. pete0

Zoo 2.0
For those saying we have no width, we've included more midfielders to provide cover for Kenny and Nkounkou, who will more than likely play very offensive wing-back roles. duncanmckenzieismagic
Official site has it as 4-3-2-1 with Siggy & Gomes behind DCL Tosun on the bench is a surprise as well Fair to say I’m not overly confident of getting anything here! I do have Sigurdsson out wide, mostly out of default. And I didn’t list obvious back 4, but yes, Nkounkou is LB, expected to get forward down the left side regularly. Palfy
This is looking very defensive, going there not to concede and try and nick one or two on the break, just hope Kenny and Nkounkou do themselves and us proud big game for them. That’s an interesting point. In this scenario, Allan and Delph would frequently be closer to Olsen than Kenny and Nkounkou, yes?

He’s never started for Marseille! Unless you count two unused sub appearances! Looks like Carlo agrees me as he’s put Delph in who will cover. Wiggytop
Good man management from Carlo, taking Pickford out of the limelight and the shit he’s had to put up with over the last two weeks, and particularly against Newcastle where he tends to loose it anyhow. its going to interesting how we line up and our approach to the game. Not sure that side is capable of hitting anyone on the break, no speed, width or creativity Think the best we can hope for is to keep it tight and rely on set pieces
markjazzbassist
Just noticed in addition to tosun that Simms and branthwaite made the bench. Glad to see the injured players getting healthy again.
RuffRob
I think with delph in, Niels will push up on the left. Always going to be tough with all four of our starting wide players out.

A 94th minute deflection to give us a 1-0 win would make me happy - don't want two defeats in a row (or two dropped point-games) so quite desperate for a win.
