If we were 16th in the league would you play your reserves against any team above you because you didn't fancy your chances. ?

Must always play the best team available and if anybody wants to cry off because they're feeling tired I wouldn't want them a the Club.

This sounds like something said by someone who sees a player go down with a head knock and says "oh get up and play through it" instead of worrying about concussion. Just seems very tone deaf not to consider the fixture congestion and fatigue levels possibly contributing to an injury

Probably the City squad as 2 of their players already tested positive. Hope everyone is ok.

Manchester City’s match at Everton tonight has been postponed.

It is understood City received more positive coronavirus results in their latest batch of tests.

They had already confirmed on Christmas Day that Kyle Walker and Gabriel Jesus had tested positive.

The Premier League are still to confirm the news officially but sources have told BBC Sport the game is off.

Hope city players recover OK, and glad their not bringing it to us via the game.
Think this is overall good for us, we now get 6 days rest between games, so hopefully we can field strongest team against West Ham, then it’s the FA so we can rest a few, and when the games rescheduled we’ve both strengthened in the January window and key payers are back and fit

Will miss the squad debate, but this is fantastic news for us. We'll be healthier and better rested when it's rearranged and City will likely be back playing in champions league and will rotate. COYB.

No surely they’d  be made to play this after all its only 5 of there squad that have it so still have plenty of players at their disposal to make a team, and of that 5 they might need the rest anyway they must surely be tired by now so won’t be missed.
Or are City asking for it to be cancelled because they like all teams want to put out there best team, like any team would want to do at the top of the league clash.

Blessing in disguise...much needed rest for the team. No worries about resting players now

For City we would have rather have played this with the form we are in, City with be relieved, Ancelotti would have wanted to play this he won’t be thinking the players can have a rest he’ll be thinking we’ve missed out on a very good opportunity to put more space us and them, only the Larry lightweights will see this as a good result.

No it sounds like someone is saying that they want players who are up for every game ready to give their all.

Will give my MOTM to Davies then.

massive critic of his but thought he would have had a blinder tonight.

How the fuck can you give it Davies?

What about that pass back that he would have hit to hard and scored an own goal?

What about that open goal he aimed for, and missed the target and hit Palfys glass of champagne?

And that sending off would have been ridiculous!

I think he’s just watched the rerun of the 4-0 win in 2017!
