Popular Post Romey 1878 13,590 Posted Tuesday at 22:38 Popular Post Report Share Posted Tuesday at 22:38 I definitely did not see this result coming when the team was announced. That's an understatement tbh . However, it became clear quite quickly that it wasn't going to be the mauling I feared. And I don't just mean that because we scored early in the game either. We just looked bright and like we knew the plan we wanted to execute. James and Iwobi gave us enough attacking threat to make Wolves worried about us and defensively we were on another level. That defensive display gave us the platform for the victory and in a game of few chances it was vital we used that defensive platform by taking the chances when they fell our way - that's exactly what we did. I don't think there was a player out there that had a bad game, they all earned that victory for us tonight. RuffRob, nutmegwolf203, pete0 and 2 others

nutmegwolf203 126 Posted Tuesday at 22:47 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 22:47 I realize that not every player in the squad isĀ up to par, but recentlyĀ I think that Davies has been doing well at shielding the ball when he gets marked. In the sense that he seems to recognize defensive pressure a bit better to at least evade tackles and then be productive afterwords. He definitely still hitsĀ some wayward passes but I think he's raised his game a bit, even if it's not at the requisite (starting 11) standard. There's genuine pressure to start in this team and he's recognized that there are things he needs to add to his game to be included. dunlopp9987

Bailey 4,949 Posted Tuesday at 22:59 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 22:59 Huge win, really impressed with that second half. We tightened up that little bit more and whilst we didnt create a lot, we didnt allow them as much of the time and space we gave them in and around our box in the first half.Ā I thought both centre backs were superb, Keane nicking it this week and I thought James and Iwobi were excellent all night. James was finding pockets of space all over the pitch and finding people with his passes and almost never the easy option either.Ā The rest were all much of a muchness. I wouldn't say they were really more than 6/10 bar the cross from Gomes on his left peg which was different class.Ā Wolves on the otherhand play very well until they got to about 20 yards out. Once Doucoure crocked Neto, he disappeared out of the game and he was the only one capable of doing anything. Fabio makes Kean look like a world beater.
