Pickford.

Made standard saves when needed, but came up with an excellent save at the end that gave us three points.

Also made an excellent save just after, but the whistle went.

But most of all I loved the shot of him demanding his defenders to get on that near post. Commanding performance.

Allan - kept us organised in a very tight game.

Mentions for Pickford and Godfrey too. In a game of little quality at least Richarlison (as frustrating as his performance was at times) was positive when he got the chance to be.

I feel the goal was befitting of the quality of the game!!!

Pickford for me also - kept us in it for the first 70 minutes or so with some really nice saves (and would have saved the penalty had it gone ahead - fuck you Ceballos!). His save at the end from Xhaka(?) despite the whistle already going for a foul and the save from the toepoke where Seamus fell asleep literally won us two points right at the death. For all the criticism (rightly in some cases) Jordan really seems to have screwed his head back on and is in great form at the moment, just what we need at the business end of the season.

richarlison, you can't win without a goal.  pickford and allan honorable mentions.

You do realise Richarlison's cross was off target ?

Pickford played well and made a couple of crucial saves,  but I put Godfrey on camera watch whenever  I watch the match. He's a top top player and he will be a star with us for years to come. I would put him and Doucoure joint favourites to be our next Captain. 👍

I thought first half we played some nice attacking play with DCL involved 8n some good hold up and link up play.  Richarlison and Digne also very involved but second half we struggled to get forward at all.

Good from the defence and good commitment all round.  I've gone Pickford,  great to see him back to his best and showing confidence around his box without the over arrogance or mistakes of old.

Hopefully see more in the coming games of the attack play that we threatened with in the first half.

Think me and you are the only ones who thought DCL played well.
Don’t get me wrong, he didn’t create any chances, but his hold up play and link up play was excellent. Just fell apart once he passed the ball though.

I would agree with that in the first half. It felt like he barely touched the ball in the second!
