DUNCAN FERGUSON is ready to pack his bags and start a new career in Australia with Perth Glory after turning down the chance to play in the Premiership.

The veteran Everton and Scotland striker has been offered a move to the Western Australian outfit and could sign next month.

He has rejected offers from English and Scottish sides since quitting Everton at the end of last season. He is prepared to sign for Perth when their window opens in November, in time for the second half of their season.

Ferguson is happy to take his family Down Under and start a new life there - or split the year between bases in England and Australia.

He was used mainly as a substitute by Everton in the last two years but thinks he is fit enough for the less demanding Australian League

Watched an oz game last night C-Coast V Perth. ( open end to ender game 2)

Pre match interview with Perth Manager & he basically cringed @ the mention of Duncan arriving & muttered something along the lines of the 2 parties have very differing ideas regarding contract lengths & Moolah.

he also mentioned he was offered Duncan rather than them actually pursuing him.

Will see what unfolds.
