Liverpool away (Feb 13)

Can't remember what game it was, but this referee was at Goodison a month or two ago and it was truly the worst performance I've ever seen from an official. Absolutely diabolical stuff on show - think it might have been Crystal Palace where he basically allowed Wilfred Zaha to throw a tantrum and fly into anyone he fancied without getting carded.

We've got absolutely no out ball, if we were awarded points for losing possession we'd be out of sight.

Simms is first to a lot of balls, but either not directing it right or, what it looks like to me, he's not getting runners close enough in support

isn't it the very first EPL game of his with us? What is the expectation from the first game which is on away ground on a derby day? I mean, he can be shite eventually I dunno but this comment is a bit harsh IMO.

I’m not saying he should be playing better…I am just saying it as I see it…he isn’t playing very well and you can’t seriously think he is.

Oh fuck right absolutely off.

Off the post and then Gueye doesn't knee high tackle the daft cunt before he can cross it to Salah.

Jamie Carragher doing his famous screaming for absolutely no fucking reason too the absolute weapon.

Absolutely fuck right off - same goes for that embarrassing tourist cunt giving it the big gums to the camera.

Bit harsh blaming a goal on McNeil for trying to putting the ball back in to Liverpools danger area - just as likely to deflect in for goal.

We haven't played great, but Liverpool haven't really threatened us that much.

We are still well in this game and really only a goal post away from it being 1 - 0 to us.

We’re really missing DCL tonight. We don’t have an out all and you can only defend for so long. We need to get someone like Gray on so we have some pace to chase down lost balls.

Look at what pace did for them.

McNeil should have leathered the ball. Gana should have accepted a yellow and took him out. Pickford was lost in no lane land.

But pace is what scored a goal for them.

Simms seems overawed by the occasion and isn't showing enough or holding play up at all. I hope Dyche has a word with him at half time and gives him another 20 minutes to sort himself out. I don't think Maupay is the answer. He could play Keane CF or bring Davies on and shift Onana or Doucoure up front but it really just shows yet again how short we are up front.

I think we were a little unlucky to concede, given that we could just as easily have neen 0-1 up but to get caught on the break like that is criminal and I have no idea what Pickford was doing. He made Salah's mind up for him.

You make it sound like I don’t want him to have a shot, which is not what I said. His execution of said shot was very poor and was the reason Liverpool got the breakaway. Yes Gana could’ve done better and Pickford for sure….but it started with McNeil.

It’s on Pickford, there’s no way Salah scores that if he stays in his 6 yard box

I actually blame McNeil for that goal. His attempt at a shot after the rebound was ridiculous.

There’s another reason to fault McNeil.  As Liverpool got the ball, McNeil was closer to the Everton goal at the other end of the pitch than Salah and 2 other Liverpool players.  But he was asleep-lazy, and very quickly was behind the 3 Liverpool players ripping toward the Everton goal.

More generally, on Liverpool throw-ins, Liverpool are immediately ready, while several Everton players are asleep-lazy, looking down, strolling, unaware that Liverpool are ready for a quick throw-in.  It’s dismaying, our lack of alertness.
