Romey 1878
Is that the actual line up for the second half? If so, we are going to get hammered in the second half.

Romey 1878
I know we are down to the bare bones but those changes will only make it worse for us, bringing Anichebe on baffles me. Heres to a 4-0 loss eh?

Romey 1878
Id have rather he'd brought on Vaughan myself like. Lets hope we get a couple of players back next week for the Chelsea game, otherwise it could be a bit of an embarrassment

Louis
Did you see Sol Campbell kicking out ala Beckham 98 at Vaughan after the final whistle? Vaughan shoved him back - he's got a bad temper when things go against him. Campbell was a disgrace though, you could hear him on the mic saying "fuck off", Clattenburg came over and had a word with him and you could see him walk away afterwards mouthing "fucking hell". When Vaughan was in school he head butted a keeper for saving one of his shots (so I heard.. ).
Guest fozzie
But Campbells a donkey so i wouldnt worry too much..just there for one last pay day
StevO
players kick and swear all the time, part of the game now pretty much. Vaughan does like a good kick off, hes always startin it in the reserve team games, but not to red card point
thebluenose
remember the mini derby when dudek shoved anichebe to the ground who was the first player on the scene to have a go at him.........thats it vaughn. so long as he doesnt do a duncan everytime i dont mind if he has the odd tantrum

Mac
One of the poorest display's I have seen by an Everton team in a long time. Hoping this was a little glitch and not the start of a pattern. I know we were fielding a scratch team and are currently missing two very influential players, but as a Prem side we should be able to cope with a few injuries/suspensions. Cracking goal by the way, just slightly better than Essien's yesterday. ATB Mac
Guest fozzie
There in lies our biggest problem, the shadow squad isnt up to the task not by a long way
Mac
OK Fozz, we have identified the problem, but are there any initiatives at Goodison to address the problem?. I don't think so, our lack of strength in depth has been a problem for years. A lack of cash + less than glamerous profile = struggle The only route out of this is to fastrack some of the kids, because I can't see us having any other options, beside a mysterious investor coming to our aid on a shining white charger. . Romey 1878
Mac I agree kids should be given a chance and fast tracked but the fact is Moyes seems to have a problem with playing them. Take the Portsmouth game for example, we had Stubbs playing in midfield as a play maker for christ sake, why not give Vidarsson a go if we thast desperate. His tactics screamed a lack of tactical ability on Saturday IMO.
thebluenose
just to point out hughes has turned 20 not so long ago. hes hardly a kid now is he. he should be given a run in the team instead of weir at least. vaughn or anichebe should be given a chance from the off and players like vidarsson should be given the chance if hes on a contract. Romey 1878
Because Hughes is a defender though he can be calssed as a kid still because they take longer to mature as players
