Louis Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Bjarni Þór Viðarsson impressed in the friendly against Bournemouth last week so much so that Bournemouth have taken him on loan for a month. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 It's a shame he didnt get a chance here, I hope he performs well while on loan there. We all know though that he'll sign permanantly for them or another lower league club. Quote
StevO Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 i rate this kid, hopefully this loan spell will show him the more physical side of the game Quote
SimonButtle Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 he's been here quite a while now though. Quote
StevO Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 yes he has, but he was bought by the academy and worked his way through Quote
L_Blue Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 You never know look what happened to Osman at Derby he might come back a better player and could threaten the 1st team, doubt it but ever the optimist. Quote
jamiemaher85 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 ive always liked vidarsson and have always hoped he'd make it too first team. remeber reading that he played against england under 16's and basically took them apart on his own, after that we signed him. hopefully he'll perform well Quote
FairWooney Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 seems like a good thing to me, i'd rather he go and play league one competitive football then mess about in the reserves. hopefully he does well then comes back full of confidence and ready to impress in the preseason. if he can perform well for Bournemouth i'm sure Moyes will be keen to see what he can do back with us in the friendlies. Robo Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 we should give youth more of a chance at everton!! Quote
Louis Posted February 8, 2007 Author Report Posted February 8, 2007 Robo - to our credit... it's only Gavin McCann who's been sold and proven he can play at the highest level. Jevons, Chadwick, Hopkins, Schumacher, Brown, Clarke and possibly Fox and Gerrard (who may be promoted with Walsall) have all been sold and none show that they can cut it at the highest level. Quote
Robo Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 i know he came from home farm dunne and we may even see bally make it yet!! Quote
StevO Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 what do you mean bally may make it? bally did make it! he was getting to the top of his game before he hit the slippery slope just walter and his technicolour injections fuck up his career Quote
