Pat
Seen him play that role for Fulhama cple times now. I think we got him very wrong. I also am not sure whose to blame, player or procedure ? Did Moyes Stiffle him ? Has to be asked.
SimonButtle
i saw the game today and was quite surprised by the way he played, i think moyes played him wrong to be fair.
Dunny the Blue
I was acctually anoid at him for being good! all i kept sayin was "well he never did that for us" I read somewhere he wasnt happy on Merseyside and wanted a move back to London but i wudnt have thought your social surroundings would play that big aprt of the game? Romey 1878
I was absolutely gutted to see him playing like that, he showed the quality that we wanted him to show while playing for us.
Cloud
I know, watched him then on MOTD! Fuckign twit! Step Overs, Skining Evra, Chest it and Turn and Volly it!
comeonblueboys
I remember when he first came to us, he played out wide but was completely ineffective as he kept drifting in field, wouldn't take on defenders etc. So then Moyes started to play him in central roles more often. Can't figure it out either.
Bluetrip
Davies wouldn't be the first average player to have a short spell of decent games after a move, his confidence will be up and he's trying to impress. He had enough chances for us. I think we did well recouping the fee we paid for him.
BLUE-TAC
Absolutely agree with bluetrip. Was quite happy when he signed but he had enough chances inlcuding in his favoured position (whatever that was). I reckon he just wasn't good enough at our level but at Fulham he's got more chance to shine. We did well gettin eg £2.5m or whatever we got. And i really don't think he's done that much to since leavin-2 decent gamesbut he could go on a typical cack run of 20+ games now. Ossie's better and even mcfudge! Romey 1878
I think it's more to do with the fact that Fulham attack with pace whereas we never do. Their quickness of play suits him, and our slow one pass forward three back didnt suit him at all. Bill
^^^ agree with Mark on this one ^^^ I dont think Moyseys way of playing suited him, and he never coaxed the best from him, looked a far better player than the one we saw here. MikeO
Think if a prem footballer needs to be "coaxed" to give his best then we're better off without him, but I think you may well be right Licker and we are better off without him IMO. Bill
Coaxed might not have been the right word, but managers have to instill confidence in players and play them to their strenghts, and tacticly i never new where Davies was supposed to be playing when he was in the team, i think the writing was on the wall when he played Davies at right back. I know what i'd have said...........Fook this i'm off the managers an idiot.

Robo
always thought he had something, nevermind he will soon dwindle away with collins pembridge mcbride and radzinski

Hafnia
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-29155565 To be honest he probably should have been playing for them back in 2007. Seriously though its good to see. Some players forget what got them into the game in the first place and think they are too good to play at a certain level. He will appreciate his career far more as a result of this. Mate plays in a 7 a side team with John Barnes - he said the stuff he still does is jaw dropping. Davies will look like zidane at that level.

I think if we'd got Davies when we originally had it sorted then his Everton career would have been much different - I seem to remember between the time Spurs pulled the plug on the deal and us eventually signing him that he was out with a fairly big injury (could be wrong about that though). Just never did it for us, I think you are right, injuries may have impacted him, he did have a good turn of pace.
Guest blueboy122
He was good at Fulham as well to be fair. Scored a few good goals if I remember correctly.
MikeO
He was good at Fulham as well to be fair. Scored a few good goals if I remember correctly. For sure he was a "good" player, but every team in the top flight had/has plenty of those. Never achieved what I hoped he would.
