J*A*C*K*E*L*Z Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Everton are in discussions with Swindon Town over the possible transfer of young striker Lukas Jutkiewicz. The talks are with a view to signing the 17-year-old forward when the transfer window re-opens in the summer. Jutkiewicz has netted three senior goals for the League Two side this season and put pen-to-paper on a three year deal at the County Ground in the summer. The young Englishman is a former Southampton player and first rose to prominence in 2004 when he finished as top scorer at the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland. Quote
jamiemaher85 Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 so if he's scott spencer the 2nd does that mean we'll sign him and then he'll do nothing at all and disapoint everyone Quote
Romey 1878 Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 It's good to see we're looking to the future but we need to invest in the now Quote
J*A*C*K*E*L*Z Posted March 15, 2007 Author Report Posted March 15, 2007 he would only cost abit so there's no harm in having a look i supose. But he is only proooved in leage 2 so there's not much to go on accept he is young Quote
Louis Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Apparently he's signed a pre-contract meaning he will stay at swindon til end of the season... potentially £1.5million Quote
Romey 1878 Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Apparently he's signed a pre-contract meaning he will stay at swindon til end of the season... potentially £1.5million That's a lot to pay for someone who has barely got into their first team Quote
CraccerC Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 That's a lot to pay for someone who has barely got into their first team key words potentially... may be 1.5 over years, achievements, caps, goals, anything Quote
Romey 1878 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Yeah I know the fee is based on achievements etc but still, it's a lot. The scouts must have seen something in him though, so hopefully he can settle into the academy and then eventually our first team. Quote
jamiemaher85 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Its in most of the papers today that we have an agreement to sign him Quote
KillaGTiR Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 yes why spend mills!!! for him then he is 24 then we can buy him now for beans! good move for the club just gota see how he turns out Quote
Louis Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 According to the guy himself it's more than 750k Quote
StevO Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 we need to pick up as many young talents as we can, the more potential we have in the academy the more chance of them making it Quote

Romey 1878 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 we need to pick up as many young talents as we can, the more potential we have in the academy the more chance of them making it More like the more money we can make by selling them. That is unless the club keeps on improving financially and on the field. Quote
StevO Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 we live in hope mark, hope that we can keep our best talents, and not have to sell to pay the bills Quote

Romey 1878 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 decent stuff, that was quick from being reports to be offical signing. That's how we should do all of our transfer dealings Quote
aaron Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 ^^^ was thinking the same thing, get them before any other club *cough* newcastle *cough* have a chance to poke their noses in. Quote
Louis Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I can't see him forming a succesful partnership with our other Polish Briton AJ though.. not because of his footballing ability but because poles repel. Quality joke that. Quote
xsaint Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Anyone has seen this kid play?-first hand? Quote
Louis Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Some videos on youtube.. hes only scored 4 goals for Swindon all season so it's a gamble. Quote

Romey 1878 Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 I thought he'd only scored 2 and only started 4 games? Quote
swindon_loyal Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 You've made a good signing from us. Lukas has a hell of a lot of potential and hes made a good career move, i can see Everton being able to get his full potential from him and him breaking into your first team in the next couple of years. Hes made 8 starts and scored 3 goals just to clarify that for the people who were confused. The overall transfer fee is supposed to be somewhere within the £1 million range, through clauses such as first team appearances, sell on fees, goals scored and so forth. I wish you luck with your new talent, and might pop up there one day when hes playing first team football and say hello to him. Quote
Louis Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Ah.. I didn't realised he had only started 8 games.. He has made 15 appearances from the bench this season and scored 3 goals in 8 starts. That's not a bad return for a 17yr old but overall 3 goals in 23 games doesn't look too impressive... is that unfair to say swindon_loyal? Quote

Since Wise left us, morale, scoring, etc all went down the drain. He timed his runs and so forth perfectly, it was just the other players, take Christian Roberts for example, didn't let him take the chance. They just thought they'd do it thereself. Hes not so good in the air, scored a nice header against Wycombe though but theres room for improvement in the air. Quote
thebluenose Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 well im going to reserve judgement until i see him play. il moniter his progress like i do whenever our players go on loan. Quote
