Romey 1878 Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2062035,00.html It's a shame but it's probably time Quote
Bill Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 What a great manager he has been for that Club, when you see the likes of Chester, Wrexham, Southport, Oxford and other such teams fighting for their very existence, this fella has maintained Crewe in a healthy situation, in fact they even got into the Championship last season. He has an uncanny knack of producing Good young Footballers, and when they move on it is usually the Transfer fees that keep the Club ticking over. Quote
MikeO Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 Couldn't agree more Bill...top football man, don't know why he never got a chance to coach at the top level...or maybe he did and he chose not to take it.... Quote
Mac Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 An absolute legend, football would be poorer without him. Stevie La got an MBE for fuck all, this man has dedicated a life to footie and has nowt, disgraceful. ATB Mac Quote

CelticToffee Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 IMO he is a good manager no more than that but also one of the most unambitious guys in football He had the oportunity to go to benfica but by his own admission bottled it Quote
