Everton_Worshiper Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/col...icle1733890.ece OMG...that is dodgy (if true) that if Manure had already won the league that Howard could have faced Manure...!?!? Makes you think that for £1.7m of kickback did the Everton board agree to that deal over Howard with open arms..? Quote
MikeO Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 It's wrong (said that all along) that ManU could tell us who can play against them but there's nothing "dodgy" about it. It's all been in the open from the start, nobody tried to hide anything. And how can you take seriously an article that suggests Ferguson kept Ronaldo on the bench because he thought the match was lost with thirty minutes to go....the man plainly knows fuck all about football if he thinks that was the case. I actully had a thought that Alex Ferguson would not risk putting him becuase they wer 2-0 down and they had an important game midweek. but he did bring him on and we lost we just gotta forget about it now lads... MikeO Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 ...we lost we just gotta forget about it now lads... If only that were possible....on the day it wasn't so bad because the Alan Ball thing was so important to me...the further I get from it the worse the memory becomes. Not of the game so much, but of watching the true horror of it unfold on MOTD. Think I'm gonna wake up in a cold sweat jibbering, "Fucking catch it Iain!" for many a month yet . Quote
Pat Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 I read that piece yesterday. It opened a real can of worms of thought. These issues must be cleared up ASAP. Quote
bluehuddo Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Looks like there's going to be more to come out of this http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...2109865,00.html Quote
MikeO Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Completely stupid if they try to do something about it now. It was common knowledge...if there was a problem all they had to do was call the club/s and say "You're not allowed to do that." If we'd have done it on the sly and faked an injury then fair enough but if the FA try to take action now they'll make themselves look like idiots (though I say again, I thought all along it was wrong).
