RuffRob
Very tough Xmas period for us December Man Utd Sat 22nd 15:00 A Bolton Wed 26th 15:00 H Arsenal Sat 29th 15:00 H January 2008 Newcastle Tue 1st 15:00 A But a decent run of fixtures at the beginning of 2008, with Liverpool away the toughest game on paper and the only game against top 4 opposition. I would expect us to pick up a host of the 39 points up for grabs in this run of games, and be the making or breaking of our season January Man City Sat 12th 15:00 H - Wigan Sat 19th 15:00 A - Tottenham Wed 30th 19:45 H - February 2008 Blackburn Sat 2nd 15:00 A - Reading Sat 9th 15:00 H - Man City Sat 23rd 15:00 A - March 2008 Portsmouth Sat 1st 15:00 H - Sunderland Sat 8th 15:00 A Fulham Sat 15th 15:00 A - West Ham Sat 22nd 15:00 H Liverpool Sat 29th 15:00 A - April 2008 Derby Sat 5th 15:00 H - Match Centre Tickets Birmingham Sat 12th 15:00 A I would hope we could pick up a decent run giving us confidence going in to the last 4 games of the season. JimRoyle
At least it's not ManU at home first game with Yobo squaring a lovely pass for Rooney... So we should start fairly well at Wigan.... and let's extend that winning away form at White Hart Lane to 2 games as well... ;-) Will all depend on if we can foster the team spirit that last off-season's trip to the States seemed to (and a couple of useful additions to the squad). Can't wait!!!
EFCfanatic
Quite happy with the fixtures tbh. Perfect game to start and get us back in he groove. 2 difficult away there but I fully believe we can get 7pts out of them 3.

Blue4Ever
we could end up top after 4 games if we get a few good players in, that would give us alot of confidence. I rekon the shite will get beat by Villa in there first game.
CraccerC
i think christmas is ok ... few homes, and games we can get points from ... i liek the list...not that many really tough 3 or 4 games like man u chelsea arsenal in a row
Heather_6
As long as we've got AJ playing against Arsenal at Home we'll win it!
Captain Johnson
I predict we could pick up a possible 52-61 points if all goes well. I would take that and a uefa/ fa cup at the end of the season hahaha! I dont expect much do i?? haha. think we've got a well balanced set of fixtures tho!! i just hope the board give moyes all the money they can!! Blue 250
Always nice to predict good starts to a season......But here's a couple of examples as to why the first couple of games, aren't typical of the season ahead!! 1993-94....won first three games 2-0,1-0,4-2.....top of the table after those three games!!.....last game of the season..Everton 3 Wimbledon 2..Survived!! 1984-85....lost the first two games 1-4,1-2....won the championship 6 games before the end of the season!!! So yes lets beat Wigan(and we should really)....but if we don't!Please no calling for moyes head. Can remember Brian Clough saying the first game of the season....pressure is always on the home team!!.......what do you think?
Captain Johnson
Yeah i would defo agree mate! but hopefully we can put our best foot forward in the first quarter of the season but we defo need to add to our squad numbers!
