Sampdoria believe that Bent has the athleticism to take them into Europe, and are preparing to do battle with Charlton, even rumoured to be prepared to offer up to £3m. The Mirror also claim that the Italian outfit have already been in touch with David Moyes, who has found himself short of cash since the summer transfer window closed without the purchase of a striker, and will be keen to add funds to his kitty, especially if he can sell Bent at such a massive profit. We got more than our moneys worth out of him last season so any money for him is profit in my eyes. I am afraid Bent is not really Premiership class to be honest.
