  1. my ideal situation would be fellaini back in, for hibbert, neville to right back, quartet of cahill areta fellaini and rodwell in the centre, Anichebe and Pienaar on the wings.

i watched them vs sunderland, and when sunderland were moving the ball about on the deck they were ripping them apart. we need to do more of that, which we usually do away from home.

  2. First team to score might win ;)

    Good

Personally I think Villa will score....but only once.

    Better

IMO they were lucky in the league match....................they have been lucky in a few games since then...................luck runs out and we will see them off, 3 - 1

Excellent! although plaudits removed for patting yourself on the shoulder :P

i just knew we would win today, even at 1-1 i was sure, although when agbonlahor missed that header and howard saved was probably a turning point.

How long did that 2nd half go on for though? well late kicking off!

  3. that hibbert run did happen, however i'd been drinking many a pint of erdinger so i cant remember WHEN it happened, 2nd half of normal or extra time, because he was running towards my end.

in the reserves the ref let the reds kick off when we went 3-2 up when most everton players were still in the liverpool half. so ANDY "Deserves a New Contract" VDM did very well booting it away.

  4. Would he celebrate?....after rafa said he couldn't handle it at a big club!....Why I'd say a big part of that celebration would probably take place a couple of feet from the luckypool bench, and involve one or two naughty hand gestures :o

And as for Gosling!......if he doesn't make it in football, there's always a career as a salesman....he managed to sell a dummy to three red defenders the other night

If we're going to be all clichéd

Poor pass from alonso and jags Spread it out wide to VDM, he did what he does best got the ball in, Cahill went near post and the defenders Got attracted to the ball gosling Had Gambled the ball came to him, he got the ball on to his favoured right foot and tried for the shot and if you dont buy a ticket you dont win the lottery cue goodison goes beserk

  5. BYE!! I was one of most staunch supporters when he first burst onto the scene, but this season he has been awful. the danger signs first appeared at the spurs game, when he came on for saha and covered less distance than when Yak had to walk off the pitch.

he's had chances, he hasn't taken them! he can't complain. VDM just moved up a notch!!! The Hero From Zero is still on! :D

  6. you take a draw before the game, but then that happens and you feel gutted. what was going on, we were passing it and they were hoofing it! RVP was the one player who was trying for arsenal last night and he's well capable of scoring ridiculous goals like that.

on a side note, ANICHEBE! If he's not willing to run into the back of defenders rather than just letting them pass to each other and then diaby, we should have ran it to the corner, yeah, but when they had it on the halfway line he still could have rushed them into making a mistake.

i think djouro (spell) stamped on cahills foot thats why he went off, i hope so anyway, what happened off the ball between cahill and gallas btw i missed it and then i saw him holding his arm.

  7. Clattenburg’s problems have escalated since his controversial performance in Everton’s home match against Liverpool in October last year, when he received death

threats after sending off Tony Hibbert and giving Liverpool a penalty when the defender fouled Steven Gerrard on the edge of the penalty area.

i googled. nowhere else has this information.

  8. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...h-contract.html

Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg, one of English football’s leading officials, has been sacked, Sportsmail can reveal.

The 33-year-old, who had been a Premier League referee since 2004 and was on the FIFA list, is believed to have been dismissed by his bosses at the PGMO, the referees’ governing body, following a secret meeting in London.

Clattenburg — who is expected to appeal — has been sidelined since the start of the season over allegations involving his personal life and business debts. He has denied all the allegations was apparently told by his superiors he would never referee again because of a breach of contract.

    article-0-0334144D000005DC-484_468x401.jpg

Sportsmail first revealed how he was suspended after he was accused of sending an email threatening the family of a business associate. He was dropped from August’ s Community Shield at Wembley just hours after the FA and the PGMO were alerted to the accusation.

An internal investigation was immediately launched into his business dealings and alleged debts of almost £175,000 and then, after receiving an anonymous letter, into his personal life.

Clattenburg denied the allegations and, in an interview with Sportsmail, insisted he would clear his name and return to football.

But at a meeting last Wednesday, officials are said to have informed him that he no longer had a future officiating top-flight football. He is believed to be the first referee in the modern era to be dismissed.

Last night, the Premier League said the ‘disciplinary process’ was ongoing.

But an insider confirmed: ‘He was sacked at a meeting last Wednesday. He has since lodged an appeal against the decision so, as far as the authorities are concerned, the process is still ongoing.’

Clattenburg’s problems began days before the Community Shield when a business associate involved in a legal dispute with the referee, who runs his own electrical firm, tipped off the football authorities after receiving an email he deemed to be threatening.

The email read: ‘Check you can use our companies (sic) money to fund your legal crusade against me. If not, taking me to court might cause your family some pain.’

The recipient forwarded the email to a lawyer with the firm Eversheds on August 7 and within three hours the FA and PGMO had announced the referee’s suspension.

Clattenburg, rated as one of the best young officials in the game, was removed from the Manchester United-Portsmouth fixture on August 10 and, as the inquiry into his affairs continued, a computer he once used for work relating to his electrical business was seized by Eversheds.

When Sportsmail contacted Clattenburg in September, he said: ‘Every allegation that has been put against me, I have proved all the evidence against it. And I’ll do exactly the same again. I’m innocent.’

Clattenburg’s problems have escalated since his controversial performance in Everton’s home match against Liverpool in October last year, when he received death

threats after sending off Tony Hibbert and giving Liverpool a penalty when the defender fouled Steven Gerrard on the edge of the penalty area.

Clattenburg then ignored two penalty appeals against Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher and produced only a yellow card for Dirk Kuyt’s two-footed lunge on Phil Neville as Liverpool won 2-1. Almost 3,000 fans signed an internet petition calling for Clattenburg to be stopped from officiating.

Born in Consett, County Durham, he worked as an electrician before becoming a full-time referee. He made his Football League début aged just 25 — then a post-war

    record — in August 2000.

In 2004 he was promoted to the Select Group and his first match at this level was Everton’s 3-1 win at Crystal Palace. Two years later he made his way on to the FIFA list at the age of 30.

A Premier League spokesman said: ‘The disciplinary procedure is still ongoing; therefore it would be inappropriate for us to offer any further comment at this time.’

Clattenburg refused to comment when contacted last night.

  9. i'm not sure about this chanting about united malarkey. i know its a wind up but some people are so committed to the bluff i think they need to stop before its gone too far.

however arguements of "they want us to lose more than see everton win"

are cancelled out by the "Everton Are Relegated" Parties of 94 and 98.

so in conclusions arguing about arguments is a pointless expedition as it'll leave you going around in circles.

  10. well as regular readers of my post (all of 2 of you) will know, my housemate is a spurs fan, he's happy but angered by the general pisspoor effort from some players, in particular the epic failings of David Bentley.

Oh and Gareth Bale too but he's always hated him.

i knew spurs would get one more chance, in fact i was in the middle of saying such a thing when they scored.

  11. on one hand vic should gone across the defender defo pen then or pass to osman at least. and he was wayward leaving hibbert with no pass (felli missing and easy inside pass to the halfway line) so tony just hoooooofed it, pleased with how we played at times we actually passed it around osman shot on 83 minutes started with passing from the back,

but generally vic did do well, especially for the free kick and making gerrard bounce off him!

and as for tc, those over 50 say how good Alan ball was, those who will be 50 in 30 years time will be holding cahill up as a god!

  12. i havent seen it on tv, but fellaini jumped and won the ball, rather than having his foot high, the hull player ducked down, he wanted to book him as soon as he got the oppertunity, didnt see the yellow card, but that zaratye he crashed into the back of mo and cahill and he only got a yellow, atkinson is oure shite, he gave a foul against mo when the hull keeper ran into his own man in the first half, moyes should have took him off though, everyone around me we were all agreeing before the start if we're 2-0 fellaini off, forget about the consequences, worst case scenario we draw 2-2

he booked cahill for getting clotheslined as well! wtf!!!!
