Oh you mean when he was asked if he could change the timings of his trips to the gym so the new manager could have the team to himself without the old manager still being there?. Seems Utd had the same problem over Matt Busby. How you can compare the 2 cases is beyond me. A man had an illness that could have killed him and the peoples club...maybe we should call you the fit peoplesclub ..saw fit to use that illness to save money. His playing ability does not come into it (although that is what takes him to the negotiation table).

 

the fact is - the clause is STANDARD for anybody that has had such an illness - and Stubbs had little problem signing for us originally - with the same clause.

I guarantee that Stubbs CAN NOT get life insurance because of his medical history - so why are we not shouting at insurance companies and wanting their cheif executives to resign?

Liverpool FC when Marcus Babbel was struck down with his illness DID NOT say your on the last season of your contract so close the door behind you. No we give him a 3 year contract on the same terms as he was under anyway. Seems you still do not have the class to be conicdered a big club like us. Sad state of affairs indeed.
