  1. I enjoyed the read and agree with a lot of what you say - I still don't want Moyes to go though, we don't have funds to build a new team.

Looking at it from a journalistic perspective I would get rid of the overuse and misuse of exclamation marks though, it cheapens the article.

  2. I have long thought you and Mr. Marsh are one and the same. I very rarely visit ToffeeWeb but that guy sure knows how to wind folk up, a bit like yourself actually Captain (ahem) but hey each to their own, it's what debating is about as long as it doesn't get personal. Regarding those comments from Toffee Web about the Fulham game, tactics etc, I am afraid I agree with most if not at all that was said BUT that will not stop me supporting Everton and to be honest will not stop me going. In the world of football we all have to take the rough with the smooth and we should learn to accept that. Ok things aren't going our way at the moment but 30odd thousand folk will still turn up week in week out, gluttons for punishment, nahhhh, just honest, loyal supporters of their chosen football club and in the words of a song taken from our bad times in the 90's.........."things can only get better, can only get better.............."

"I hate being right when I am predicting an Everton downfall "

Tony Marsh does my nut in. Everyone of his articles is one of the same. He shuts up every few weeks when we are winning and then straight back to the negativy... I got bored of his "articles" a long time ago.

Most of his critism of Moyes in this piece was correct.. crazy decisions etc but he has no credibility.

  3. According to wiki he has retired.

I was watching the Lawrenson prediction video for Everton and I'm sure Valente was in one of the cutaways training with the squad? I assumed it was stock footage at first but then it shows a new video of Lescott with England.

    Just curious.

Edit - Watched it again and it's old footage.

  4. JUst went to watch Blood Brothers at the Empire (amazing play) and it was produced and co-directed by BK, after the great show he came on stage and spoke about gun crime in the city, capital of culture, and the city uniting. It was quite a rip-roaring speach, and got me thinking that no matter what we think of this man as a chairman, he is a great guy and i think somebody Everton fans should be proud of.

  5. once again the best team lost on the night thanks to another a fucked up ref losing us the game.

arsenal dont deserve the victory and they know we are a far better team they are.

Well lets be honest we rnt a better team than Arsenal.

And the team made soe defensive mistakes today and didnt take some of are chances, so WE lost the game. The Ref made some very bad decisions, but the Arteta decisiion certinaily didnt effect the game. WE lost out, now onto the next game.

  6. Bill Kenright at times gets alot of abuse, people saying he should leave and that in the long run he isnt good for the club. People accusing BK of revusing to sell, even though he says that he is waiting for the right person to come along and then he will.

Well four years ago if we had a big investment man come in, like a Randy Lerner or the fella from Liverpool or City would Moyes still be here today?

It got me thinking after reading the article on the official site about managers not being given enough time. Bill stood by Moyes because he new Moyes was building something, but if we had another chairman who was maybe not quite as patient i dont think Everton would have built the foundations that we currently have. Yes we would have money for big players . . but who would want to join us, and would it really bring us success. I truly belive that when BK find the right man then he will sell, and i am happy with that. In my opinion we need another BK but with money, when we find that then he will sell.

The were times when Moyes was here that it would have been easier to just sack him, but Bill stood by him.

  7. don't think we should share personal e-mails from the club on here. not fair on us as fans as you don't know what to believe and not fair on ian ross who sends personal e-mails to individuals not the forum.

Ian Ross isnt stupid, he knows what happends to them emails when he sends them.

So you prefer people not to post information that has come directly from the club?

  8. If you can coax him into running then maybe but his normal pace is slow or still

    Quote from todays Express

Player power is set to push Yakubu out of Middlesborough after senior pros told Gareth Southgate the Nigerian striker was no longer pulling his weight.

Yakubu delivered a woeful display against Wigan last Wednesday and after the match several players accused the Boro forward of no trying.

Oh and he hasnt scored since early Feb.

My arse is he worth £12.5M!!!!

    was Bent worth 16 million?

    was Nugent worth 6 million?

Everton cannot carry on trying to buy players for 2million etc, if we want the club to progress then we will have to pay these inflated prices. Its a sad fact, but its true.
