  1. TBH, going into the derby this weekend, I was concerned about the D*l*l*sh effect. I thought, "Brought him in just before the derby...sonsabitches." I had similar thoughts when they wrapped up the ownership saga JUST before the reverse fixture. I felt there was a certain level of spite in their timing, I did.

After watching today's match, though they started smartly, I'm not AS concerned about Sunday. Call me crazy. I'm pretty sure that I saw the same problems that have been dogging them for the first half of this season.

So I'm feeling a bit optimistic about Sunday...you?

I agree. Everyone knows that Liverpool was the European Capitol of Culture in 06/07, right?

  4. dont bother with this over rated city, beggars everywhere and the city jus stinks of rotten people and pollution. Wales, devon or the lake district is much better suited for a couple.

Haha! I've been to Liverpool and London and enjoy them both tremendously. Being from Atlanta, I know what a decent city looks like (take that as you like.) ;)

  5. Not a trip purely to watch a game tm? What else are you planning?

Well that depends on what month I travel - if i can get tickets to one of the May matches (City or Chelsea), then the wife would like to come as well and we'd visit London as well. If May (being warmer) is not possible, then Id travel be myself just to watch a match!

I've been to GP 3 or 4 times at this point and am feeling brave enough to perhaps sit in the Gwladys Street end - normally I sit in the Bullens...

  6. It'd mean you can get a ticket a bit earlier so have more choice. In my experience though you'll get a reasonably decent ticket (although probably not in the Park End) even if you wait for them to go on general sale for games like City/Chelski.

Right. thanks for replies all. i'll see you later this year, then!

  7. Hi all,

I'm thinking of making a visit to GP in May for either the Man City or Chelsea match. My guess is that the tickets will be in high demand and tricky to get. Problem is I'd have to buy my airfare ahead of when the match tickets would go on sale. Bit of a gamble, I think.

What do you reckon the difficulty of getting those match tickets? Any tips on securing them quickly?

    thanks in advance for advice,

    tm
