i like wilson, has a pace similar to DCL, but more end-product. think he would definitely improve the quality of the first xi. given the age, i think anything over 30-35m is pushing it though.

we've been linked with lots of strong players, interested to see if any of the deals are completed, particularly at the RB position. still think coleman can do a job, but i have doubts over kenny. didn't watch holgate for wba at all but the feedback i've seen has all been positive. wonder if silva still sees him as a CB or RB at this point, perhaps cover for both. in any case, would be happy to see meunier or wan-bissaka brought in, but think they may just be out of reach for us at this point.

the fee for grimes would likely not be high. he was used in multiple positions for swansea this year and took home most of the clubs annual awards including player of the year and player's player of the year. wouldn't mind him for cm depth, especially if mccarthy and schneiderlin are being shipped out this summer.

definitely think he could do a job for us. given silva's comments about wanting a left-footed winger, it makes sense.

Had a quick look at him on YouTube and he didn't look great on the 8 minute video I watched. Same with Mina, didn't look fantastic.
Of course, it's only YouTube and it's not a fair representation of any players ability.
also particularly difficult to get a gauge of defenders using highlight videos. haven't watched digne play much recently, but mina looked great at the world cup. his aerial presence will be huge on set pieces (where we've looked mediocre in preseason).

I’m still crossed then. Was it Richarlison or Vlasic or both who are AMs, not wingers? While you might be right that both are better suited to the middle, both are nearly exclusively used on the wing. That’s the point.
richarlison is most certainly a winger in the traditional sense. vlasic has been primarily used on the wing but i'm still convinced he's a central midfielder. though i think that's been the biggest challenge with vlasic, none of our managers have figured out the best way to use him.

wouldn't mind it one bit having him join up. strong hold up striker who can play with his back to goal and a pretty natural finisher as well. definitely offers something different from DCL, much more of a natural #9.
