  1. Don't be fooled that a player is staying with a club because other people will be signing for the same club...a player stays with a club because he is getting paid more than he used to so he doesn't go elsewhere....that said, brilliant that they are both staying. Let's hope Cahil gets back to his best quickly...

Players also stay with clubs to further ambitions, not just for money.Arteta wants to play in Europe every year,he wants to play for Spain. So I think he thinks our ambitions match his own,Get it?He would not of commited if he thought we were going nowhere.so ipso facto we must be going somewhere .And we won´t go far in europe without some more signings. :P

  2. excellent news. Our 2 best players committing their futures.

'quiet......everton way' that encourages me for transfers plus i doubt they would committ long term if they did not receive some form of assurance that the squad will be imrpoved.

    Positive news all round

Agree 100% with you .Arteta always stated he would only stay if the ambitions of the club matched his own.So reading between the lines should we be braced for a flurry of signings??

  3. Yea we played the long ball game fist half on Saterday, but second half we took them apart on the floor.I like Bt but it must be said he´s been as much use as chocolate fireguard this season. He has put the running in but he just seems clueless.(Though a nice flick to Nayce for the third on Sat.)I´ve been saying all season he´ll come good but as yet nada!Think unless he scores a hatrick on Sat he´s on his way.

  4. Good to see so much optimism on the board today. You bunch off miserable swine! If we were ever going to beat Chelsea now is the perfect chance.1-0 THE MIGHTY EVERTON! And don´t bother with your "I´m a realist ".I´m not arsed!A bit of faith and belief goes a long way! :baaasmiley:

  5. We could do it.A 1-0 win with Chelsea already thinking of the cup,and pressure off our lads .We should go at em!I don´t think we´ll see A.J. as to risk futher injury would be pointless, get him in and operated on A.S.A.P.Vaughn and Anichebe up front. They were great on Sat,especailly Vaughn.Great business getting them signed .Europe here we come!

  6. Won´t comment on our second half Sunday pub team preformance.Lets hope AJ is back and paired with Vaghn for Saterday.Osman is dropped (for ever). And we beat Pompey like the bitches they are !!

    COME ON BLUES!

  7.

I didnt see an AJ goal again, not good enough for a 8.5 million pound sterling striker in my book who has only scored about 12 goals this season, that is 17 million USD at the currently high exchange rate which will further fuel the need for another base rate rise as it will encourage further spending and weaken the pound, although good for holidaymakers and importers of american products

I have to be honest and say i agree with Zed on AJ, i know he got injured yesterday, but so far i cannot see an £8.5m striker in the team and have been quite dissapointed with him especially his goal return, i don't think he's a bad player i just don't think that he is the kind of striker we need.

Couldn´t disagree with you more! He´s a constant threat to defenses and an interigal part of our play. His running constantley stretches the opposing team,Without him on Sat our counter attacks were non exsistant.
