    Saint-Etienne move for Everton's Valente

    tribalfooball.com - August 13, 2007

Everton fullback Nuno Valente is a target for France's Saint-Etienne.

The fit-again Portugal international is top of the shopping list of Saint-Etienne transfers chief Omar Da Fonseca, who has already made contact with Valente's agent.

Da Fonseca expects to learn from Everton in the next 48 hours if they're willing to do business over the 32 year-old.

I'd be happy to say goodbye. Occasional decent cross but too slow in getting back and sometimes absolutely shocking!

With Lescott and Boyle along with Neville I think we'd have adequate cover if Baines were injured.

    Everton agree Fernandes fee

Last updated at 08:28am on 10th August 2007

Manuel Fernandes is on his way to Everton after Benfica last night accepted a £6million bid for their 50 per cent stake in the 21-year old midfielder.

Goodison chiefs now face protracted negotiations with Global Sports agency, part of the group embroiled in the Carlos Tevez transfer saga, over the other 50 per cent of the player's rights.

  3. My team for season with the current squad is as follows;

    Howard

Neville Yobo Lescott Valente (I hope Baines comes)

    Pienaar Cahill Da Silva Arteta

    Johnson Vaughan

    Subs;

    Turner

    Jags

    VDM

    Osman

    Ancicbe

Doesn't bode well does it lads?

I think Moyes might go for:

    Hibbert Yobo Lescott Valente

    Jagielka Neville Carsley Arteta

  4. FFS - are we turning into kipper on here?

    give Jackelz a break!

Rumourama section is starting to read like guantanimo bay!

I read posts and make the occasional comment on this forum as it's one of the few out there that doesn't slag off posters - no matter what the content of their posts - has this changed?

Reply to forum posts as you would expect other people to talk to you in person. There's no room for uncivil behaviour.

  5. We were linked with Brede last season but reports saying that Newcastle after him now.

Don't worry folks we looking at signing someone.

    http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...+FRENCH+STARLET

So that could be a loan signings a 4m signing and also a under 20 player

    Ahmed Yahiaoui?

He was class in Championship Manager 03/04.

Braaten was also good in CM03/04.

Anyone think someone bought Moyes a copy?

  6. undiplomatic to join rivals of his former club

    agreed

however, there may not be a position for Nev in first eleven if David Moyes signs a 1st choice left back and another midfielder.

If no signings he could go for lescott lb and jags at cb leaving rb for Phil Nev. a versatile back four!

    but that's another topic!

  7. If below has any truth it looks like Everton have accepted a bid and allowed Man City to talk to Phil Nev.

    Quote from article - http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=47110

Everton's Neville rejects Man City approach

    tribalfooball.com - July 09, 2007

Everton captain Phil Neville has rejected a move to Manchester City.

The Mail on Sunday says Sven-Goran Eriksson has already received his first snub as City manager - by former Manchester United man Neville.

    End quote

  8. Since they still carried an article of him (shows we are still interested in him), does that mean we have extended his loan? Bought him? Or does it just simply means his current loan deal is not expired and would expire in a month time?

    Your thoughts and views please?

haven't they published articles on Rhino and other ex players in the past?
