Anyone else concerned about this deal - reckon there a plenty of back and forward discussions over personal terms, hope it is not a case of "leaves due to not being able to agree terms", surely he would not fly in if we were not close to meeting his needs.

Come on lads be reasonable!!!.....We have offered 18Mil for a lad who the rest of the country sees as being worth no more than 10 - 12Mil. We will probably end up offering 22Mil for him and Moyes will Reject it (fair enough, that's been his stance from the very begining, and i have nothing but respect for him for doing that)....BUT. To say 22Mil AND ONOUHA!!! thats not even funny...

 

I can understand you're upset about the whole thing. It would upset me if an important player at City put in a transfer request to join one of our rivals. But i think Nedum will probably be better than Lescott within a couple of years. and he has just signed a new 5 year deal to quench any rumors of him being part of this deal.

 

Jo and 5Mil would be fair (we payed 18mil for him) but of course that would leave you short at the back. But there is still just under 3 weeks to get someone in

I did not say £22m AND Onouha, as Onouha would only be a loan. Being realistic the only reason we have not accepted the Lescott offer is cos of the situ with Jags. Ergo, if we have could get short term cover as part of the deal we may be willing to let him go.

I don't see why city don't understand the only way there going to get Lescott is if they offer us a centre half in the deal. I've heard reports that there gonna offer us Petrov and money. Thats dumb give us Richards or Onhuoa and the 18 mil and I will be completely satisfied with saying good bye to money hungry lescot.

I agree mate - or at least give us the £22m and Onouha on loan til Jan or for the season. Don't for a second think that will happen, their offer will be straight cash - if there is another offer that is!

exactly, that's what i keep having to think and say when i read these ridiculous prices and deal proposals. never ever will they accept jo and richards + 10 million. richards was 20 mil last year, jo was an 18mil buy, thats potentially 48millions worth, albeit the prices have fallen since then, but they've not just all of a sudden become 3 million players.

 

i'd have jo before johnson. apprently johnsons career might be finished, we've had jo for a few months and he seemed to settle and do ok so i'd definitely have him over johnson, he'd straight away be 1st choice at the start of the season until yak is back.

As much as I rate Lescott and hate to break up a solid back 4, I reckon 10m plus Johnson and Richards would be good business.

 

Why would he play RB when he's just bossed the midfield? Drop Carsley for Jags, move Pip to right back and play Fernandes.

Spot on Romey.....Hibbo is just not going to cut it...lost count of the number of times it was played to him and he humped it down field.
