I think they get sentenced next week, but I suspect they won't be massive sentences. Otherwise they would've probably tried their luck with a not guilty plea. Still not too sure why they didn't to be honest

I reckon a deal was struck between Gerrard, the CPS and those who pleaded guilty. The CPS gets 5 out of 6 convictions without the time and expense incurred putting cases together. Those who admitted guilt get a pay off from their mate to take the flack, and the CPS put together a half arsed case against Gerrard which was only ever going to have one result.

EVERTON closed in on a deal for Swedish international Rasmus Elms today, as assistant manager Steve Round gave Jos flying start to pre-season the thumbs up.

The Blues flew out to America this morning for the start of a 10-day training camp with a near full strength squad and there could be an addition to the numbers very soon.

Moyes is considering a move for Kalmar midfielder Elms, who was given a tour of Finch Farm last Friday with his family.

Elms a hard working 21-year-old with a ferocious shot returned to his homeland over the weekend to await further news but it is understood a deal could be struck within 24 hours.

Agreed, and I think DM probably thinks so too with the year long chase and the offer of better wages than Marseille are offering etc. His ability to play not only CM, but RB and CB (as he did for much of last season) surely means he would tick all the versatility boxes too.

Seems like he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't to me. Go somewhere for money - slated. Go somewhere to play champions league football - slated.

Stade Rennais have every right to get the best deal possible for their club. If we offer 12m and Marseille only 9m then they will push for a sale to us. If Mbia wants Champions League football and Marseille match the valuation, will people still slate the lad if he goes there for less wages?

If it really is all about money then he'll be a City player.

And if it's about football, then he'll be playing for Marseille in the champions league.

Specualtion is that the other English club involved is either Stoke City or Man City.

For those that'd like to watch it again.

After reading/listening to a lot of press interviews with DM recently it is becomingly increasingly apparent that his attitude towards all football related issues is to be not only as controversy free as possible, but seemingly take an ever so slight moral high ground. He refuses to get drawn on the comments of those managers who try to belittle our club, and responds with dignity. He replies with respect when questioned about other clubs players, where many other managers fail. We hear no excuses about injuries or duff purchases coming from him. He is championing the great traditions of the English game more and more, and even starting to commend Refs more often than slate them. One of my RS mates today questioned how genuine he actually is, and has suggested he is dipping his toes into the mind games. We agreed that as Rafa rapidly, and very publically falls to pieces across the park, DM is slowly but surely endearing himself to football fans of all teams. Not just for the achievements of a threadbare squad that fights for each other, but with the way he, as a manager conducts himself. The questions are, Is this the real Moyes? Would we be hearing the same if the results were different? Is he saying what he believes, or will normal service resume after a victory tomorrow night?

You are definately not screwd. under the sales of goods act any warranty is superceeded by your statutory rights. they state that any goods purchased should last a resonable amount of time. that's a grey area but, if you threaten them with trading standards or a a small claims court case they should acknowledge this and repair, replace or refund, as is their right pdq. as a general rule of thumb electrical equipment is expected to have a working lifespan of at least 5 years. i would politley point out that you have rights over and above the warranty and that you would be prepared to take it as far as is necessary for a satisfactory outcome.

also never, ever buy an extended warranty for electrical equipent. not worth the paper they're written on. you are already covered by the law of the land.

i think it depends on what Rennes can get out of us and not us out of them right now.
