  1. We must have been watching different games. Sure he didn't finish the game but what he showed in the first 45 was very promising. Won a truck load of contested headers and not only won them but put the ball in good positions. He even disposessed a few of their midfielders by foot on ocassion and they aren't just your run of the mill midfielders either they are world class. Didn't waste the ball when he had it and all this at the age of 20. I think people see players like Fabregas dominate at age 20 and expect anyone of any quality to be able to do the same, but look at Mo's body composition, it's a known fact that taller more gangly athletes take longer to grasp the co-ordination and skill needed to play any professional sport and the fact he is as good as he is at this age shows how good he will become. Your entitled to your opinion but I hope we can come back to this thread in a couple years so everyone can see how wrong you were.

Won a truck load of contested headers and not only won them but put the ball in good positions ( is a big quality)

hope we can come back to this thread in a couple years so everyone can see how wrong you were. ( couple of mounths)

  2. not the level of the premier league but the level of us at the moment. Standard are a DECENT side at best and no offence an Everton playing well would piss on them.

Standard deserved to go through and we have no one to blame except ourselves

As for fellaini, only time will tell with him but one things for sure :£15mill standard got the best end of the deal!!!

I just want to say there was a lot of comment about fellaini here.

Is he good enough for the premier league ??? everton is not standard stuff like that

Well in two games and also the games against liverpool standard showed they have a good team.

When they play in the premier league they play top 6.

marouane was the keyplayer of that team

So you will see, marouane will improve.

    and about that 15 mill

he did not ask to give 15 mill for him. so give him the time

  3. You guy's think fellaini is not that good?

but he was the best player of standard and we overplayed everton?

Everton played poor, no insparation just lateral.

Is this the level of the premier league?? ( or what was the comment here of the belgian league??)

  4. Just been thinking about Fellaini!.......Seems we aren't that keen on giving him plenty of time to settle in!, and just maybe Moyes paid over the odds!

Then my mind went back to Jagielka, can't quite remember how much we paid for him, but I do remember how a lot of people myself included weren't impressed with him.Which ever position he played in he didn't really look prem material.

Now after last season a lot of us couldn't imagin the defence without him.Fellaini has come from what we all know is a very good team (dam it) and if as many say he was their best player then he will in time and in the right position come good.It can't be easy for a new player when the team are going through a dodgy patch.

Also correct, prem. is harder, faster, stronger as the belgian league. he comes in a team who doesn't play well and he plays with guys he don't understand.

15m pond is al lot but it was his price. there were a lot of big teams interested. ( man u, real, Arsenal, )

Everton scouted marouane 34 times i think. So i dont think it was so desperated at all.

When he will have the rhythm of the game you will see :ohno02:

  5. As i have said in another thread, I think he will do better in a 4 man midfield. He is being crowded out at the moment. The debry game was so crowded in midfield it was impossible for anyone in midfield to create anything in the centre of the park.

IMO Fellaini will do better with two up front, giving him a little more time and space in the middle of the park.

I don't think he is a lazy player, I think that he was scarred to commit to anything after his booking. I think he was one of our better players on sat. Once he gets used to the pace of the prem he'll be fine, this is not an age issue its just an adjustment issue. Most foreign players take some time to embed themselves into the prem. He has only just started out here so give him a little time, it was his home début so it would be worng to write him off so early.

Correct, i saw the first time and fellaini was one of the best of everton

  6. Well couple of people stood out today for the wrong reasons, Cahill and Fellaini were shit.

A positive was Hibbert, my god we have missed him at right back....just a shame he is another hoof the ball up field player.

Saha looked ok but he seems to have no pace but a good shot on him.

Jags stood out a mile again.

    Arteta should not take corners.

    Osman was very quiet.

Yak did ok considering the lack of service.

    Overall, poor display again.

Come on man i saw the match on tv in the first half Fellaini was your best man.

For the moment everton dont play good.

There is a big diffrence between belgian league and yours ( true )

But we will see that in 2 day's

  7. Get him to fly you over then and sort you out a ticket.

I'm sat in stoke end tomorrow on mates season ticket - hopefully I'll have to show a lot of restraint as we bang 5 past them!

i will do that very soon when you play on saterday,

On sunday's i play on my own team

  8. Vision of the head reporter in " het nieuwsblad" (Belgian paper)

    Fellaini is the key

The 20 year old run-miracle is the key of the belgian system

It is unbelieveble who much pressure he takes away from the defence

Kompany ( manch City ) and Simons ( PSV eindhoven ) are impressed how easy it is playing with Mo in front of them.

He is not only a defending midfielder he is also an attacking midfielder.

That is the raison why he gets every match a good opportunity.

HE IS TWO PLAYERS IN ONE , that is the raison that he is priceless for every team.

    greetz

  9. Worryingly.. he only has a potential of 150 on Football Manager ;)

I'd never heard of him until the Liverpool games.

his points will increase very fast believe me.

In europe there are no 5 players on that position with the same qualities.

He is very strong with the head, keeps running, can score, can give a good pass.

And most of all he can' t Lose

    btw

His second match against Liverpool was not even that good.
