There's 6 days left of the transfer window left and we're only just sending a scout to watch him? That's laughable .

Dont think Moyes is the type of manager to just buy players he has not watched for a while so if they are sending a scout to watch him I could bet that they have watched him at least half a dozen previous times. We may buy at the last minute but the players are will undoubtably have already been on Moyes mind for a while me thinks.

Just got in from work(nights) and seen the breaking news on SSN. Had to come online and check for real!! Sounds like a great deal and after watching the youtube clips of him I think for the poss £10m we will have picked up a great player. Disappointing that he wont arrive until Sept. as quoted on the Everton website - but look forward to seeing him in action. Hopefully he will settle in well and quickly and get this team moving onwards and upwards.

Dont think at the moment we have the squad to let him go. Think things may be different in January if we have no injuries and he may then go out on loan. Until then think Stoke will be dreaming that he did go but we will have him as an option

If we lose Senderos and Elm the same way we lost Naughton it could have catastrophic consequences for us as a club

Yes it would be a shame if we lost them, but dont think it was such a catastrophy for us loosing out on Naughton - think the stats might agree!!!

I heard that he had a clause in his contract that said he could leave if a club bid 2.5m plus he is a Londoner and so I guess he wanted to go back home. There must have been something gone on at Wigan though for him to sign before the season had finished.
