  1. When all fully fit here are the midfield line ups (from best I can tell) for the top 8 clubs. (assuming a 4-5-1)

Everton: Bilyaletdinov, Cahill, Arteta, Fellaini, Pienaar

Arsenal: Arshavin, v. Persie, Nasri, Fabregas, Walcott

Chelsea: Malouda, Essien, Lampard, Mikel , Zhirkov

Spurs: Lennon, Bentley, Huddlestone, Kranjcar, Modric

Red Shite: Babel, Gerrard, Kuyt, Aquilani, Benayoun

Man U: Valencia, Scholes, Giggs, Fletcher, Nani

Villa: Petrov, Milner, Downing, Sidwell, Young

City: Johnson, Barry, Bellamy, Viera, SWP

Can't see our midfield being outplayed by a single on of those line-ups, except for perhaps Chelsea and Spurs. Clearly every team on this list has its day, but on most days I can't see us being bossed about in the middle of the park. So I guess the real question for next season is how to seal up our back line. Here's to some beautiful football next year!

Arsenal is hard to judge as you don't know if they'll turn up on the day. Scholes and Giggs will be even older next season so that's how I've judged theirs. And Liverpool's is awful, but Gerrard can single-handedly beat every midfield on that list on his day.

    Liverpool has Lucas...

    hahaha

  2. Heard that Arsenal are banking heavily on Cahill, with Bendtner likely to go to Bayern Munich.

Now before you disregard this. There is a couple of things you should know. Arsenal put in a big sum of money for a player, with 2 hours left in the transfer window it was reported, but the paper work didn't have time to go through.

Another hint, search Wenger and Cahill, look how much of a fan he has been of Timmy over the years.

How much would we get from Arsenal if they brought Cahill, which some think may be on the cards?

You are a toss. You know that right?

Yes Wenger was interested in Cahill a year or 2 ago, but Bolton slapped on a £20 million price tag for Cahill, and I doubt we would get anything from Cahill's transfer from Bolton to Arsenal. Got nothing to do with us.

    Now bugger off.

  3. Please. Dillusional.

Cahill got man of the match, according to Moyes.

Why does Cahill start every match when fit? I take the coachs viewpoint over yours.

FFS you are annoying... I'm an Aussie, and I love Cahill (easily our best player) and I voted for him for MOTM. Distin and Heitinga I felt were also instrumental for us tonight too...

Nothing wrong with other fans having different point of views for MOTM, but do you have to be such a wank about it?

Where the hell does Moyes say Cahill was Man of the Match...I wish you would stop making shit up to make your point.

  4. The problem with Leon is that he has played out of position so many times, and is useless anywhere but in the centre. However, even when he plays centre mid he has games where he plays better than anyone else (eg game against man utd) but then there are times where he goes missing (previous derby match).

    By selling him:

    • We get little money from his sale

    By keeping him:

    • We keep a home-grown player who has been with EFC since age 10
    • Have squad depth (which has helped this year!)
    • We have someone who doesn't play for high wages

So to sell him we have not much to gain compared to keeping him. If the argument were whether Ossie should have a starting role with a fully fit team, then I would say depending on form he would be on the bench.

  5. Hahahahaha! But on a serious note neva eva eva eva neva eva eva do i want to see gary neville in a blue shirt!

Not on the field, but if we were to acquire him, then I feel he might have something to contribute to the coaching and development side of things. I would definitely would not like to see him as a player, well past his time...Hibbert is a lot better.

  6. To be honest i cant see us signing Moutinho, hes going to cost around 15 million and i dont think we have that money to spend on one player.

If we where going to buy someone from Sporting id go for Veloso, another left footer, which we are quite short off, good on the deal ball, and very versatile and clever + he would only cost around 12 mill.

But i wouldnt mind that djalo either, looks like hes got some potential, anyone know how old he is?

Veloso has a 30mil price tag stamped on him apparently as Juventus are interested in him.

  7. Hey all,

I've been surfing through these forums for a couple of years now, thought I'd finally register...

I'm from Brisbane Australia, and started following Everton through the influence of my mate and his dad who is originally from Liverpool.

Glad to be here, and happy to support a team like Everton, hopefully we can move up a couple of spots this season but will need teams above us to falter. For now, bring on the Merseyside Derby!
