I would replace the Baines vs Spurs with the Baines goal in the FA Cup against Chelsea
-
Either way hopefully the skint Toffees beat down the oil rich other Manchester team. Interesting contrast between the two sides on the money they spent.
-
Osman for me, gave 100%, like he always does. Was at the heart of most of the good attacking and pressed when we never had the ball, his willingness to challenge even the biggest of opponents hopefully would have been noted by Beckford, who appeared to stand aside and let Collins and Dunne have free headers. Beckford was rather lightweight today and Bily................well he was Bily enough said!!
I thought Bily was better than everyone has said. He setup Osman's first goal with a steal and nice through ball. And also setup a golden opportunity that Osman shanked later. I love Leon's hustle and work rate but I wish he would never shoot. Yes he scored but he shanks shots every match. I don't understand that but I do like him.
-
Arteta looks fantastic, where has he been all year
-
Went for Beckford but Ossie had a great game - however he cannot shoot. His final shot should have been a goal but he sprayed some wild shots throughout the match. His passing and positioning was really good.
Good games by Arteta, Rodwell, Jags and Howard as well. Coleman has been giving the ball up a bit too much recently but still has the occassional stroke of genius
-
A poor cameo from Osman today, but even that was better than the crap Bily churned out, he'll be gone in summer, along with Heitinga, it was money down the drain for those two.
Bilya had one opportunity in particular to strike from 25-30 yards out but he held the ball. For some reason he won't shoot like he did last year. No wonder strikes like last year. But yeah Bily should be sold and I want to see Gueye on the left. I mean he can't do much worse than anyone else out there.

Mark Bright (serves me right here for listening to him) said the replay against Chelsea was on wednesday. My bad.
So, there was no excuse, we were just shite.
Marco - Vic is useless and always has been. His states for a striker ( ) are pathetic. He has nothing that shows he is a footballer, let alone anyone who deserves a starting place or any place with a blue shirt. I cant believe you stick up for him and give Ossie a hard time, at least Ossie had a shot!
The shot by Ossie should have been passed. At least Ossie can pass but on the wing he looks in slow motion. He has no pace at all, strange choice by Moyes there, but so was Vic

can't even understand what you said there to be honest
seems people have made their minds up about him i've argued his case many times and i ain't gonna do it again..i agree beckford should've played but no way does vic deserve a slatin today
He doesn't hold the ball up well, he doesn't use his size well, he didn't make second runs off the ball to pull defenders, he sits back on defense. I mean besides 15 minutes vs City and the headed pass against liverpool - Anichebe is our worst striker - by far.
-
Time to get that lazy twat off there. Baxter in pls
Agree
-
Coleman never let up on the right pressuring Terry and Cole all game. He also forced errors and nearly scored a second for us.
-
Osman, Coleman, Beckford, Anichebe etc...OK is acceptable from time to time. But Arteta's the man we broke our wage structure for...we (rightly imo) expect more.
My thoughts exactly. To whom much is given, much is expected.

In a 4-4-2 I think we could replace pienaar easier than we would if we look to continue 4-5-1. Reason being in the 4-5-1 we rely heavily on neat one two touch football in and around the area, where Cahill has occupied space and the other team have 8 men behind the ball. 4-4-2 may be just up magueyes street, two strikers pushing and pulling the centre halves out of position, the opportunity to play the direct ball to either flank where pace exists in Coleman and gueye.
That is what I would like to see. At least to give that formation a chance.
-
I quite liked the touch when the next thing the ball hit was the net .
Had no problem with that one (though Leon's pass setup it up with only the keeper to beat). But Fellaini almost set him up in the 1st half he missed it. He will still fumble his touch if he has time to think. When he simply reacts (Scunthrope, Bolton) he has brillance. I think he pairs better with another striker (since Vic played left winger).
-
Went with Distin, though Felliani was good as well.
Arteta was garbage per usual this season (should have looked into selling him to a Spanish team or rethink it this summer). Felt like Vic A. was lazy and only plays when he feels like it. Beckford is getting better but often has a woeful touch.
-
Went with King Louis (where have you been for the past year). He setup alot of chances. His goal was a great shot and Coleman's goal was a by-product of another good shot by Saha. I think him and Yak upfront would be a good setup. I really believe it takes 2-3 games for the Yak to get going. Beckford looks for penalties to often and has had some trouble putting away his chances.
But for tonight, great job and COYB!
(In fairness though Saha had that back pass which was horrible and would have been a Spurs goal if Crouch knew about offsides)
-
If England had some out wide like Donovan, Rooney could actually have some looks at goal with good crosses.
-
Wow, what a strike by Donovan today. I really hope Everton and LA can agree to a full transfer for Landon to come back to Goodison.
-
It looks like something with Pepto-Bismol spilled all over it. I can see it for the women but not for myself. Not really a fan but hey if it sells kits.
-
Yak who in his 1st 30 secs on the pitch scored and laid it on a platter for Cahill.

Take a look at this article which breaks down most of the issues of Bill - http://www.toffeeweb...le.php?ID=10219
Its pretty comprehensive. So unless you are waiting for Bill to say he is a poor chairman and is misleading the fans, well then I hope you never sit on a jury.
I think Bill does want Everton to do well. But he has proven to be inept at best as a chairman. Other than hitting the lottery with Moyes to manage the team on a budget he has not helped the team. Does he need to go, as chairman yes. As a partial owner, I don't care. But the board members do not seem to want a share issue to raise funds and just to get a cash infusion while staying in power. That is what needs to change.
