IMO that is a shit team and shows he learnt fuck all from our last game... Moyes really winds me up sometimes! Hopefully he will at least play Fellaini deeper alongside heitinga (two dm's at home against a promoted team?! Shocking...) and let Arteta wander.

 

We will still have Osman on the right, Heitinga in midfield and probably Felli out of position. I am expecting a big performance from Distin, very much last chance saloon for me. He shouldnt have too much trouble from the movement of Carroll and due to his size and strength he should be able to deal with him phsyically, but that should have been the same with carew against Villa and he riped him a new one that game so we shall see!

I really don't understand how Osman has proved this year that he should be playing there. IMO Him and bily have been our worse players.

Thats what we saw against Wolfburg pre-season with a complete has of a midfield. He should have been tinkering in the Oz games not the last game of pre-season and the 1st game of this. Its stupidity and I think he needs to go back to basics, even if that is selecting the same team that finished last season, with Heits at DM, Osman in the middle and either a Vic/Billy down the right.

 

IMO he seems to be complicating something that really shouldnt. Osman isnt a winger, Cahill isnt a midfielder, Pienaar is most comfortable down the left and Saha is best trying to get in behind defences for the most part rather that constantly dropping short and getting caught out.

I agree with most of this but again it could be I have a weird dislike for Osman, but I think he is very overrated. I am rarely impressed with him.
