Jags - fantastic!
(Bet he's glad he was not involved with the Arsenal debacle earlier today!)
-
I'm happier with this result, for the season's outlook, than the Blackburn game, though...
-
Vellios looks good - glad to see him get some playing time

Jags better than Arteta? Behave yourself
I just hope we won't regret holding on to Jags against considerable pressure earlier if we aren't able to line up a replacement for Arteta...

Everton to play Philadelphia Union July 20 at PPL Park
This is the news I've been hoping for! My first ever Everton game and for it to be against the Union where I have season tickets will be awesome! So pumped right now.
Our boys in blue better watch out the Union took down Celtic 1-0 at PPL last summer and played well against United 0-1 in similar friendlies
To be fair, I was at the Manchester United/Union game and they were subbing players in-and-out quite a bit of the time. This year, we should be much improved, though. And dweagle6 - check your PMs - we couldn't get season tickets this year

Morning folks! I'm going to make another prediction of a low scoring game (despite how poorly that worked last week) and guess 1-0 to us with Becks /not/ hitting the bar this time.
So, here's where I call my past self an idiot Come on you Blues!

Always glad to see more of us yanks around here!
-
Things seem to be relatively stable across the back, but I don't really see any goals coming from us -- I'm expecting a disappointing 0-0 game, unless Hibbert scores
-
Arteta out. I wish this was surprising.
-
I'm feeling this one could be scrappy and not particularly great for either team - I don't think Birmingham will necessarily be that great away, and we should (must?) win it, which means 0-0 or the deciding goal coming down to an own goal (for either side).
-
Somewhat glad to see that Cahill will be rested -- we need him back to top form soon -- but Fellaini will be a big miss today
re: Beckford--one would expect that players would arrive early enough to avoid this sort of thing!
-
Predicting 3-1: Adam to score for them, Saha, Beckford, Fellaini for us. Normally I would have agreed that they play well, but their last game against West Ham was a bit of a shambles.
-
I'm expecting 2-1, Arteta/Beckford with some kind of ridiculous own goal from anyone except Distin
-
Oh dear. Let's see some response to this second half opening..
-
43 minutes: on the approach to goal, Baines looks at Arteta, who's open, and passes on to Cahill. Way to recognize the dead weight.
-
Yeah, I'm also getting the impression Pienaar's having to play for both himself and Arteta. Shouldn't have to happen.
-
should've stopped watching while we were ahead..
-
Cahill 6' !!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Ok: Heitinga, let's not attempt to channel both your rage and Fellaini's at the same time. Didn't work last time.
-
welcome to the bottom half of the table, boys. Looks like we'll be here a while.
-
looks like Heitinga wants to relive the world cup by getting cards from Webb...
-
Is it too early to start drinking? :I surrender:
It's before nine in the morning in the eastern united states :shaking fist: not that I'm jealous at all.
-
I'm happy with goals in extra time, so long as they are winning goals!
Fair point! No arguments there.
So much depends upon which team shows up. I'd hardly expect a clean sheet from either side, but we've been struggling this year in 'getting more goals in' contests.
@Romey1878 - sporting the third shirt here as well.

Unlikely to happen because he's been carrying a calf injury through the final part of the season into the quarterfinals.
