  1. Don't mean to go off topic but EPL footballers don't get paid that much at all compared to American sports stars. It's pennies in comparision. I think there are around about 10 or 11 Baseball players that get paid over $20m a year, a bloke (I forget his name) signed for LA Angels for this season on a contract worth over $250m over 10 years!!! Basketball players make a similar amount and then there is all the sponsorship money which is a lot more than in baseball.

  2. Don't forget Louis, #1 Evertonian and 'Blue Heart' himself Kenwright saying in November that there would be money available

"There will be not a lot of money in terms of what other clubs are spending on centre-forwards but there will be money.

"There will be investment in January."

oh and Elstone a little over a month a go saying there would be money as well.

“There is money within that existing budget to strengthen in January. Is it as much as we’d want it to be? Probably not - but there is something there which will see some tangible improvements"

    *sigh*

  3. So, has anyone fom here registered? Or is anyone planning to?

    I have. :)

Sounds good, but who is Community Football Assets Limited?

That's the registered company name, but they're just trading under Trust Everton. It sounds better than Community Football Assets Limited doesn't it. biggrin.png

As long as these things exist, the game will be farcical.

Why are supporters coughing up to safeguard clubs, when the very players they go to watch are bleeding their clubs dry?

If the greedy bastards took a reasonable wage, clubs wouldn't be struggling in the first place. No way should supporters be paying towards running costs directly. It's the players etc that should be supplementing things.

If it come down to it, like immanent administration or something I honestly think some of the players probably would say, but while everything is running 'fine', I doubt it one bit. And you do pay towards running costs directly because you buy tickets! As stated on their website non of the money they get would go directly into the club to do what they liked. The money would stay with Trust Everton and because you're a member you'd have a say in what the money could be used for. Be that the Park End Development, the development of another store, redeveloping a stand. All fixed assets that means in the future when the club has a new owner they have fans to trust who own assets for the club to use, FF being the main one.

I think it's a great idea, not only the asset part but the actual fact Everton might finally have it's own Supporters Trust. If Green Bay Packer fans can buy their club I can't see why Evertonians can't at least do something! I know £15m seems like a lot of money, but I'm sure there's quite a few Evertonians out there willing to put in a few quid, and a few wealthy ones at that. After all at the current rent it would take less than 15 years for Trust Everton to recoup the money it cost to buy FF. Everton isn't just Liverpool remember, there are people all over the world that support the team. I honestly don't think it would be difficult at all to raise £15m.

  4. Clubs reply to the reports

    http://www.evertonfc.com//news/archive/2011/09/20/officials-confirm-no-new-lending?

Following a newspaper report earlier today, Everton Chief Executive Robert Elstone said: "Let's be absolutely clear about this. There has been no new lending at Goodison this summer.

"For the third consecutive season we have advanced a relatively small amount of next season's TV money.

"Each season the amount is repaid in full and then the loan is repeated at the same level, with no increase in overall debt levels. This is a very familiar source of finance to football clubs.

He added: "We were pleased this summer to find a lender able to offer us better terms than previously."

  5.

You sure you got the address right? Just looked that up on Google and it where the Govt building is for the Virgin Isles

The building is like a massive office building. Lots of different businesses in there all doing what ever, mainly banking, investment, law firms though. There is a directory online of what's there. I honestly believe it just isn't a very good coincidence... if there is actually a physical BCR Sports office there (which I doubt there is) then I find it hard to believe that Earl happened to be there one day walking through and spotted this company, popped in and sorted out a nice loan for the club.

  6. Would be interesting if a definitive link between Vibrac & BCR Sports was found just to hear what the club came out with.

Wasn't the Investec loan primary used to cover the first Barclays loan and to secure new deals for a few players, Arteta, Rodwell and Baines? Maybe this loan has been done to help with Fellaini's new contract, and obviously the previous loans.

  7. A bloke, called Conan (I think was his name), rang into 606 today, he basically told Chappers and Sav what's in your post Louis, he also told them about the AGM situation. Said that as a shareholder they don't get info, they don't get a chance to question the board about what the company is doing etc. Told them it's flawed and failing pretty much.

Chappers asked him to email him the details he had, so hopefully he's done that. But I posted this stuff on the 606 Facebook page while they were having the conversation.

Hi by the way guys. smile.png
