  1. for me, the players to go in january will/should be...

kilbane (if we can bring in a younger, more skillful model - suggestion below)

bent (if we can get £2m for him as has been suggested)

naysmith (if we can get a decent offer from one of the old firm)

wright (maybe as part of an exchange)

so, that's the deadwood gone, now for players coming in...

(not sure if these will happen in january, but be good if they did)

gravesen (if we can afford his wages - big IF)

keane (though i can't see this happening until the summer now)

    (think these are more realistic)

    ashton (good, young goalscorer)

commons (good left-sided player - defence or midfield - replacement for kilbane?)

niemi (good shout by all on here, maybe in exchange for wright)

(and someone a bit out of the leftfield)

gareth barry - would add a bit of all-round quality (he's versatile and quality in all defensive and midfield positions)

  2. agreed. still a lot of work to be done but we're on the way up - really impressed yesterday with the workrate the boys showed - we still looked a bit suspect at the back and against a more clinical side i think we may have lost, but all in all it was a good display.

anyone know why kroldrup (again) wasn't given a run out?

VDM - reminds me a lot of Ginola when he runs! :(

partner for Beattie would be great - but i was also impressed with the workrate of Bent when he came on - maybe there's still a place for him?

kilbane though.....not good enough i'm afraid....

  3. I am a bit worried about this game.

There new signing will want to impress on his home début. I think they only drew there first game so like us should be up for it.

I am a bit worried about our defence at the moment and think that it will be nearly impossible for us to keep a clean sheet.

I think that we are going to struggle for goals again this game (and hope there is a new striker going next week) and think we will conceed more than we score.

On a possitve note I think that Pistone will finally score this weekend and might place a bet down the bookies.

I think we will lose 3 2 (like last season) but however will go for a 3 1 lose with Pistone scoring for us.

i think this game could go either way, and i do have a sneaky suspicion we'll lose it (few players out, bit of despondency in the camp, excitement about the wednesday game) - i'm gonna go for 1-1 if we play well and they don't, but 3-1 bolton if they play well........

all week to be honest i've been expecting a 1-1 draw, dunno why, maybe its worth you people putting a few quid on!
