  2. FURIOUS David Moyes is taking legal action against Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney's scathing criticism and accusations in his book.

Everton chief Moyes's lawyers, London-based Max Bitel Greene, have been in official contact with a newspaper after Rooney's remarks in his autobiography 'My Life So Far' were serialised.

Rooney claimed that his relationship with Moyes had forced him out of Goodison two years ago - and into joining any club. He also accused the manager of being jealous of the attention he was receiving.

The former Everton ace also alleged there had been a row over confidential information that he accused the boss of leaking to the local press.

Moyes has said nothing about the row but legal letters have landed on desks, seeking an apology and correction of Rooney's comments.

But the Everton manager does not want fans of the club to think he was behind Rooney's departure - one of the most controversial moves in English football history.

Moyes is taking the action on his own but I understand that there has been no legal letter to the book publishers - so far.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

No matter what Moyes thinks we know that he wasnt the fault of his departure.

God damn Ronney i F*cking hate his guts, Cant Wait for him to come to Goodison Park.

  3. I would love him in the center, And having him on the right wing isn't ideal, but i would like him there, But not Left Wing! Yesterday showed that he just didn't get into the game at the start, and then switched with Davies and went right wing and then he started getting more of the ball, I dont see why Moyes Wont play Arteta and Cahill Center Mid. I know that tjere isn't a Defensive player there, but Cahill Always gets back and Arteta doesn't always bomb forward does he, he normally gets the ball and pass it out wide or put a killer through ball the defence.

I feel he is just wasted as a wide man. I know that he has had some good games on the left wing and the right wing, but i would like moyes to just give it a try. Same with VDM, He isn't a Left winger, and i would prefer him on the right.

  4. If he was "one of our best" just underlines how ordinary we were on saturday.

At 3.5 m for me he is a disappointment when has he ever been MOM?

For a player who cost nearly twice as much as Mikel A

    46326[/snapback]

yes, But Arteta is completley diffrent player tyo Davies! I thought Davies was better than Cahill, and at times was better than Mikel!

I feel your being to harsh on him, he didn't play awful did he, he did his job and done it very well! A lot of things come from him.

  5. Everton's Dutch midfielder Andy van der Meyde appealed for the return of his pet puppy on Tuesday after it was stolen during a burglary at his Merseyside home.

Thieves broke into the Premier League player's home in Bebington, Wirral, on Saturday and stole the pedigree dog, Mac, along with a Ferrari and a Mini Cooper.

Burglars broke in through a back door while Van der Meyde was playing a testimonial match against Spain's Athletic Bilbao at Goodison Park, police said.

"Obviously I want my stuff back, but I want Mac back more than anything. He is just a puppy," Van der Meyde, 26, told the Liverpool Echo. "I would be prepared to pay a reward to anybody who gets him back for me."

Mac is a pedigree Dogue de Bordeaux, a French breed of guard dog popularised in the Tom Hanks film "Turner and Hooch".

A Merseyside Police spokesman said the two cars have been found, but the dog is still missing.

Everton fined Van der Meyde last week after he was taken to hospital suffering breathing difficulties following a night out in Liverpool.

Police said they had been asked to investigate claims his drink had been spiked in a bar.

The former Ajax Amsterdam player joined Everton from Inter Milan last August for what media reports said was 2 million pounds

  6. Burglars steal Van der Meyde dog

Everton fined Van der Meyde for going out 48 hours before a match

Everton footballer Andy van der Meyde has had his rare breed dog stolen, just days after being fined by his club for going on a night out.

Burglars broke into the 26-year-old's home in Bebington, Wirral, at the weekend, taking his seven-month-old pedigree Dogue de Bordeaux, Mac.

His Ferrari and Mini Cooper cars were also stolen, but later recovered.

Van der Meyde was fined and warned by manager David Moyes last week for going out 48 hours before a match.

The player collapsed at home after the night out in Liverpool city centre.

His partner told paramedics she believed his drink had been spiked and the Dutch international was taken to hospital.

    Cars found

Burglars forced open the back door of Van der Meyde's home on Saturday while he was playing a testimonial match at Goodison Park.

His black Mini Cooper was taken, but found on Tuesday morning in West Derby, police said.

The Ferrari had been dumped at the Showcase Cinema on the East Lancs Road only a few hours after it was taken.

A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: "It had a broken windscreen.

"The car was removed and taken for forensic examination.

"Four men, all dressed in black were seen with the car prior to the incident.

"Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the men to contact them."

Van der Meyde's missing dog is the same rare breed as Hooch in the Tom Hanks Turner and Hooch film.

    ----------------------------------------------------

Well i feel sorry for the guy tbh, what a week he has had. I just hope that he can now get past it all and show us what he can do on the pitch, coz VDM has a alot of talent and good ability, im just hoping that he can do well and i do feel sorry for the guy tbh.

  7. Thomas Gravesen's agent admits Real Madrid want to sell the former Everton midfielder - with the 30-year-old keen on a move back to the Premiership.

Gravesen made seven appearances for Real last season and John Sivebaek told BBC Sport: "He would like to stay, but the club want him to look elsewhere.

"He loved England and he is only 30 so he could still play at the top level. So why not move back to England?"

But Sivebaek played down a report linking Gravesen with Newcastle.

"I think some teams have contacted Madrid, but I don't know anything about Newcastle," said Sivebaek, after a claim which appeared in Wednesday's Daily Express newspaper.

"He's not looking to leave Madrid, but it seems that he's not going to play there.

"He's not keen on leaving but if he's not going to play, he will look at other options."

The Express claims that Gravesen is part of a triple swoop being lined up by the Magpies, along with Jonathan Woodgate and an unnamed striker.

The Dane's future at Real was already in doubt after the Spanish club signed Brazilian Emerson from Juventus.

And he was involved in a training ground punch-up with team-mate Robinho on Tuesday, an incident which was sparked by a tackle by the Dane.

The rest of the squad had to intervene after both men's tempers flared.

Gravesen, who has also been linked with a move to Scottish champions Celtic, played just seven times for Real last season and made just one appearance in the league.

Everton sold the Danish international to the Spanish club in January 2005 for £2.5m.

Gravesen made more than 130 appearances for the Toffees during his successful five seasons at Goodison Park.
