1. Angola? maybe?

    37414

I thought he was of Moroccan descent.

I did have to laugh when I saw it - Materazzi must have said something proper bad to get a response like that. I think I saw him give ZZ a little nipple tweak just before the headbut - and we all know how much they hurt :D

  2. Wright's self inflicted injury where he tripped over the sign saying "do not train here" just summed it up for me.

If Howard lives up to his potential then he should deffo be 1st choice. Would like to see Turner getting a shout though. I'd personally be quite happy if we sold Wright tomorrow.

  3. That song was aimed at puffs in the city centre and was meant to be youl never w@nk alone as Jerry was a puff!!! It was nowhere near as good as our 1985 effort of "Here we go" how funny is it to see John Bailey,Andy Gray and co in those horrific grey tracksuits singing like a pile of dickheads

    And we love you E-ver-ton!

    Inspirational! :D

I've got that on 7" somewhere I think.

  5. always expected this, theyve got money, but who wants to play for wigan, and also after a decent start they started fallign away, i think theyll do well to survive this season, already lost 1 of their best players now anotehr 1 may be off, doesnt look good for them

    24767

Don't forget, a few seasons back the same could be said of us when we lost Rooney.

I have never reated Heskey, but (true story) a few years back my dad went to a sportsmans dinner where Tony Cottee was speaking. Afterwards my dad was talking to him and asked him who was the best player he'd ever played along side and he said Heskey at Leicester! I'm also told that when he "played" for England he was one of the most popular members of the squad as all the other lads used to love playing along side him. I have never seen anything in him that would lead me to think that this was for any other reason than he made even the shittest players look good :D

Birmingham should be paying Wigan to take him off their hands.

  6. but Crouch is not a target man!

    32158

I know, that's the problem because they keep trying to play him like one!

Regardless of who you've got up front, if all you do is send in long balls then the majority of them will go to waste and straight off you've given the ball away.

So the fact that he's not as good in the air as Big Dunc was, means that we lose possesion even more.

  7. My big sister gets married on September 9th

    Everton Vs Liverpool September 9th

i'm off to church to pray it gets moved to sunday, do us a favour please Sky

as the majority of people who will be at the wedding are Blue's (and the rest are reds too) this is a problem, plus about 20 of us are season ticket holders!!!!

    32143

    Big screen at the reception?

I know a few people who have done this, but I guess it depends how into footy your sis/her fella is.

  8. Deleted incase I break copy right laws and they take me to court

Answer to your question Chronic is I deleted your topic as there was this one going about fixture lists and want to cut down the amount of copied threads

    32085

    No worries mate ;)

  9. :) im made up we got a easy team first match, it will boost the moral with a early win, but hard matches follow with blackburn, er... some1 else, liverpool and tottenham :(

    32109

But what do you think they will be saying about that fixture?

From their perspective they will think that they could have got someone far worse too. They will come out wanting to make their mark and start as they mean to go on. Watford's primary objective this season will be to stay up so they will try and win as many games early on as they can. I think they will see us as beatable and will go all out to get their first premiership win on the opening day.

Its going to be a hard game and I think we shouldn't be complacent - how many times have we falen into that trap before, losing to teams that we really should have beaten.

I would have liked someone dull like Villa or Boro.

  10. and to compare the long ball with Dunc is again floored, BIG DUNC COULD HEAD THE THING!!!

    32000

My point was that if you have a big target man up front the temptation is to start trying to land the ball on his head at every oportunity. I know Big Dunc could head the ball, but I honestly think we played better football when he wasn't starting because we actually had to work the ball. Regardless of who you've got up front, if all you do is send in long balls then the majority of them will go to waste and straight off you've given the ball away.

Its personal opinion but I do like Crouch. I didn't think he would be our first choice up front (I saw him as a good utility player for England) but it seems like we don't have a lot of options now.

  11. Gota have a squad, and I personally though he did well last season, up to a point

He can play on either wing or up front, good squad player well within his prime

    31909

Agreed, when he turns up he's good, but it doesn't happen often enough. Hopefully with a bit of competition he can raise his game, but like you say: I think he'll only ever be a squad player - it is important that we have those too though.

  12. Do you trust Moyes with that amount of money?

    32055

I just hope he spends it on some good players.

One thing I have had enough of is EFC being seen as a club who only buy 2nd rate talent (occasionally they come good, most of the time they don't) or older (once good) players who want to see out the rest of their career at Goodison. Its only in the last couple of years with the likes of Beattie, AJ, Artetta and Davies that I have been pleased with the players coming into the club (even though Beattie took a while to get going and Davies hasn't turned up yet).

I think that if Beattie and AJ can get off the mark early and start scoring then we will be in a good position to make some quailty signings come the New Year.

  13. I really rate Moyes, I think he's an excellent manager - the best we've had since Howard Kendal (1st time round).

But if he wasn't manager any more who would you want as our new gaffer?

Personally I'd want Stuart Pierce - I think he's an excellent man manager, superb motivator and he's got City playing nice football. Plus I just like the bloke, he doesn't mince his words, he's walked the walk and I think he has got exactly the sort of attitude that would help him to fit right in at EFC.
