I love the way Michael Bradley plays. Although he isn't the most creative player out there, he is a very smart and a hard worker. Plus he isn't afraid of taking on players and doing the dirty work that nobody wants to do. I remember watching the US Brazil match and he wouldn't back down to Ronaldinho. At only 20 years old he has a bright future ahead of him. His style would fit the Premiership perfectly in my opinion.

I was very happy to see that the match will be on tv here in the states.

What a way to start your Everton career

Appiah and Cahill make a strong central midfield

I took the full 2 hour tour yesterday of it yesterday. It truely is an amazing stadium. I tried getting tickets for a Gaelic football match there but everything seemed to be sold out. It was definitely worth checking out though.

Just checking in. I arrived safely in Dublin and am having a great time. The city is very nice and friendly. I wore my Everton shirt down into the Temple Bar area and got a lot of shit for doing so by a number of Liverpool supporters. One of the guys I am staying with is a big Liverpool fan, which is a bit unfortunate. Anyways I will try and keep up with the forum as much as possible.

I leave today for Dublin. 5 weeks in Dublin, one weekend in Liverpool and a week in Spain should be a great trip. I'm really looking foward to it, just not the 12 hour flight.

I read today on the BBC transfer rumors that Bolton is in the lead to sign Jagielka.

Now its time for Copa America tomorrow against Argentina.

I found a video of the Howard save. The save happens 35 seconds into the video. The most impressive part of the save was it happened in the 88th minute while being up a goal.

Im doing a five week study abroad program in Dublin. As far as Madrid I really wanted to go to Spain and was looking at cheap flights. I dont have a ton of money to spend and found a really cheap flight to Madrid so I decided to go. I will be there in early August so it probably will be really hot.Same question for Joe, Why so long in Dublin and they why Madrid of all places, although I would love to go there too -
Yesterdays final between the US and Mexico was a classic. Mexico went up 1 at half and we came back to score two in the second. Howard also had an amazing save at the end of the match.

I leave for Dublin on friday. Will be there for 5 weeks with one weekend in Liverpool. After I head to Madrid for a week. When I get back to the states I also plan to drive down to LA and go to disneyland. Should be a fun summer.

He scored against us in the Gold Cup final today too. Good thing Howard made an amazing safe at the end to secure the victory.im with you joe.Guardado is a quality player, even if we got him now and only played him for a few years and sold him, id be happy with that.
but he could become a great, if we dont go in for him, a bigger club will

Sure some South American players have had a hard time in the premiership but there are others who have done very well. I wouldn't not take a player because he was from South America. To say all south american players will have problems in the premiership is unfair. It comes down to the individual. I assume you were refering to me when I said I wanted Guardado. If teams such as ManUtd and Arsenal are interested in him for a couple of million pounds, I don't understand why we shouldn't be either.Just reading that some people wouldnt mind taking a few south americans into our clubid say "good god no thanks" - if you have a look at the history of the prem, south american players have been nitemares
bad attitudes, find it hard to adjust to the uk lifestyle, under performed and refused to get their hands dirty..always using the "english football is too rough" excuse
apart from juninho (first time of course), i cant think of a single player who has stood out and made a difference
and as for the russian guy, theres alot of money in the russian games at the mo (with big backers owning spartak and cska) so i wouldnt have thought we could afford to buy any of their players or compete with the wages
id settle for home grown players

I got a much needed day off from work today. I'm either going to go up to San Francisco or head over to Santa Cruz to go to the beach. Either way it will be pleasant.

I'd love to see us go after Andres Guardado from Atlas and the Mexican National Team. The guy is amazing as a left winger and he is only 20. Everytime I've seen him he plays brilliantly. I'm very surprised he isnt in Europe already but I'd pay a lot to have him here at Everton. This is going way out into left field, but I'd love to see us at least make an inquiry about Yuri Zhirkov from CSKA Moscow. The kid's a natural left winger (exactly what we need), got all kinds of talent and potential (he's already been called "the Russian Ronaldinho"), got Champions League experience, and he's only 23. Of course they'll probably want five times what we'd be willing to pay, but hey, it doesn't hurt to ask, right? -
I really like Defoe and think the pace of him and aj would cause a lot of teams problems. I would love to have him here but he will cost too much. I would expect he would atleast go for 10 million.

Papa Roach- Last Resort

haha I thought you meant cars when you said autos. Yea you are right, automatics are used a lot more here. There are plenty of people who can't drive stick here, including myself. It would make it hard if I wanted to rent a car over there, that and driving on the left. As far as greyhound buses, they still go everywhere in the country but hardly anyone uses them. I guess they would be the very last resort for most people and to be honest I don't think I know anyone who has been on one.two nations divided by a single language Joe...meant automatics when I said autos, reliance on cars is dreadful here also....four wheel drives on the school run etc <_< .Are greyhound buses not what they were?
