Versatility is the key. But he is a winner. Coming from Man U after winning what he did and playing in CL etc means he can use that experience and mentality to use with our team.

He is a good captain and liked at the club. Sorry but 4Mil isnt close to what he is worth to the club/team im afraid. It would destroy confidence, and morale which is not just meaning we lose him, but others may well underperform to. Besides, who would take our HUGE throw-ins?

I agree (with LICKER 605pm, not above!!!). However we will need good experienced cover for UEFA and Valente who is still Portugals no.1 LB and, a winner in europe is still worth keeping for the season. He is suspect at times but there are a lot worse and £750,000 or so isnt worth it IMO

Exactly. A centre Mid with a touch of class and attacking vigour. A good quality strong centre forward.

If we cant get Moyes 1st choice targets then I would prefer we dont just pick up the scraps left over in desperation just to boost numbers. I think we may be able to see it though til Jan with what we have with a bit of luck. Then if we can IMPROVE the team in Jan go from there, depending on injuries, league position, UEFA cup etc.

Starting line up IMO 4-5-1....Althou our options are limited with 5 midfielders in the starting line up so I'll plump for VDM!!!

Seems fair enough to me. Its put forward the facts about space for development and the other options. I cant see any other feasable option. We could be waiting for years for another option after more studies and surveys etc.

A good start will set us up for the season. Maybe a bit dramatic... but how things can be if you start with a win compared to a defeat....You could be top of the league, you are still unbeaten, Its breeds confidence especially for the Yids game.

I agree with the argument that a move is the only way the club is going to expand. I do believe its the best way of moving forward and attracting investment.

However I do feel, allbeit from a far, for the local loyal supporters that have spent many pounds and years at Goodison. The club must reach a decision that has to be taken with the voice of the supporters a factor - but on the same token, sentitiment and pride must not be the only reason supporters vote to stay....The succesful future of our club could be on whether we stay or go.

By the way.....what does IMO mean?

It is a bit gutting when our worst enemy buys quality like Torres, Babel et al. Wish we had some money!

Please hope we pick up a few players...just for us to compete with Pompey, West Ham and Newcastle who have all moved forward

Like people have said, a good preseason and up to fitness he could be like a new signing.

These guys have just bought Klose from Werder, which brings there spending to a mammouth £47 million pounds this season....Not bad for a club not in the champions league!!!

If we are to get anywhere in the UEFA cup I sincerely hope we avoid these guys until the final! The likes of Klose, Franck Ribery, Lucad Podolski, Luca Toni et al would be quite daunting for us!

keep him, we've got a good, capable and reliable striker force if we keep him, we know hes premiership level and can score goals for us, why go and a mess with something thats not broken. ultimately were looking to improve our squad and i dont think we can lure anyone better than Johnson (or let alone afford them) at this time, also id rather keep the budget we have and have a reliable striker rather than selling him and buying another striker who has the chance to be a total flop, and tbh we dont have good experienced backup, Johnson is holding us together up front.

 

i seriously hope West Ham get relegated from that court case because i hate the way they are just throwing cash at anyones players.

At the end of the day he doesnt just score the goals he fits into the everton way, the team ethic and how the EFC way is. - Yes dont get me wrong every player has a price but with that money we could afford a lot of players they could score goals but they wouldnt be an everton player - there is more than goals to being a striker at our club...Loyalty,pride and passion comes to mind.

Its nice. Simple & effective, but it shows who the sponsor is and the team without excess stripes/sashes/dots etc!

Gonna get this rather than the home shirt this year....I could probably still wear last seasons home shirt and get away with it as its not that much different!

Would love to get Jagielka, Nugent, Barton. All good young English players! Push through an extended loan for Fernandes and maybe an additional squad player and we will be strong and pushing forward again next season

Hopefully we'll try and get rid of Beattie thou, he has had his chances. Cut our loses and get a couple of mill for him from Celtic or something...We can hope!
