  1. Whats your problem? A few minutes left to go so we bring on a winger with bags of pace to run at tired legs, good switch IMO.

Judging by his username, I'd guess he might be at least a little biased

  2. Hello everyone - Newbie here from Maryland, U.S.A. First year following the EPL and have decided to root for Everton after a lot of research. Excited for the match tomorrow. I've perused a few Everton F.C. forums, but this one seems to be the best by a wide margin (in terms of knowledgeable discussion), so I'm glad to be on board. Excuse my general football ignorance. Along those lines, I will post minimally, until I can "hang".

I wanted a team that was an under dog, but that wasn't in enough danger to finish in the bottom 3. I like Howard a ton. I love the motto and logo. Everything I've read about Moyes makes me confident in the Toffee's future (hopefully he stays on board). I like that there is so much tradition and history with Everton.

Welcome, Rick. Started following the Club for a few of the same reasons you did, with the added draw for me being Tim Cahill seeing that my dad is Australian. Hope you come to love Everton as much as the rest of us do.

Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Osman, Pienaar, Gibson, Neville, Fellaini, Jelavic

Mucha, Heitinga, Naismith, Gueye, Barkley, Coleman, Anichebe

Would've rather either seen Naismith out on the right, with Osman/Felli partnering Gibson and Felli/Barkley in behind Jelly. Oh well though, let's see how they go.

  3. Commentary from ESPN: "High drama, and Rodwell is beside himself. That is a poor, poor decision from the referee. Rodwell slides in to challenge Suarez, wins the ball and catches the striker. To the disbelief of Goodison Park, Rodwell is dismissed. Martin Atkinson has dropped a clanger there. It was a full-blooded challenge, but in no way malicious and he won the ball. A terrible decision, the worst I have seen for a while."

  4. He's returned, but he's still considered a reserve player isn't he?

He's gone of with the reserve team to Russia so I'd assume so. Hoping to get a glimpse of what kind of player he is this season. I can imagine the reserves will do quite well this year with Silva and Vellios leading the line.

  5. Hard to say, he pulled up pretty sharpish holding his hamstring and walked straight off the pitch. He ddint seem to be limping though so hopefully its just a twinge.

Quite why we only had 4 subs is a bit puzzling though

Between the squad at Bury and the young squad out in Russia, we don't really have anyone else. Louis isn't ready to play yet. Although I do wonder where Hibbert and Yobo are.

Also, who's gone on for Beckford?

  6. Also, Kalou tends to be in and out of the team at Chelsea. At a place like Everton, he'd get to play every week and playing that consistently would give him a chance to find some real form. I'd love him here as he'd give us something that we don't have which is a pacey forward who can make play on his own. The guy is lightning quick and has really good dribbling skills which is not a combination that any of our forwards (let alone any of our other players) over the past few seasons have had. He would really give us something different that could easily be the difference to turn all of those draws from last season into wins IMO. Kenwright please get the checkbook out for this one.

  7. Using the banner above I hope ;)

IMO get the banner updated for the new kit and also put another one down the bottom of the page? People are always scrolling down so if you've got a second one closer to the last post that people read they'll see the banner more often.

Also, just curious as to what benefits TT gets from having the banner on the site and what benefits TT gets when people use the link?
