I don't like to say this but I think Moyes has done all he can at Everton. I have just listened to the first half of the Carling Cup tie at Sheffield and we are woefull. No ideas, no width and no goals. Jeffers is attacking the defence and we can't contain them. Yakubu is still absent and Osman and Hibbert, oh why is he in the team are very poor.

 

Moyes pull your finger out drop the deadwood and get the team fired up.

I agree that Moyes has taken the team as far as it can go, but not because of the Wednesday game. Because tactically he is useless, he praises the likes of Neville and Johnson, yet slags off Yakubu and Fernandes, and can not promote a passing to feet side. Please DM, let it go!

Thought might have heard something from Everton by now or at least cofirmed reports that he has been seen in the uk.

Everton only state things when its done, never before as they used too and often looked foolish when a deal fell through!

Why not? He's a proven goal scorer in this league and you have to pay for that because it's the hardest thing to do. I'll be happy to spend the money on him, he's quality and AJ needs the support.

I dont think we need many players, a striker and a center mid would be fine.

There is no contradiction, the players I mentioned are the right players to take us forward. Vogel with his wealth of experience or Fernandes with lots of promise. That Spanish bloke or Yakubu again will be the RIGHT players in a squad of say five class players at present. So put that in your pipe and smoke it up!

Under three weeks to go, this club moves into a important stage of its existence. We MUST get the right players in, or we may be cut a drift further from the elite. Whether there is money or not, we must strengthen the attack and midfield!

Thought we would have seen some movement on the Fernandez situation today, its all quite though

Neville played ok against Wigan in midfield but thats against a poor team and he's shite fullback

Valente is poor, he has a few good games then either plays shite or gets injured

Osman is ok but if he's against a decent fullback he will get marked out the game

Da Silva might be good a some stage but to throw him in this game wouldn't be a good decision imo

Arteta should be on the wing, he's alot better out wide imo and im sure everyone will agree

A.J didnt get no service with Victor up front with him and with an extra man in midfield were sure to hit to many long balls up.

i haven't im being conscious, a lazy player walking into a very hardworking team could potentially cause a few problems

thank god you don't...i wouldn't mind betting i've see nmore of him than you, and if you want a lazy moaning player that plays for moments then fine, but i want a player who will be more involved in the team and is less likely to cause an upstair in the dressing room

I totaly disagree there, if those dont come then we should look else where with the money we was going to spend on those and bring in class players, not free transfers / loose change.

 

We have money now, so lets use it on someone who will replace a first teamer, not a squad player.

Althought i am not saying i would not want these players at the club, ofcourse i would, but what i am saying is i would not be happy if we sign those in replace of yak and manny.

FOR ME Phil Neville just isnt good enough for us. Osman, while not fantastic will be used more as a bit part player as the season progresses and I think will prove useful in the end.

Arteta and Lescott were our best v Wigan.
