  1. I have been questioning him for the past 2 seasons.

He has been with us for 8 years now and you say he has still got a lot to learn if i was employed for 8 years and didn,t know my job i would be kicked out.

All i am saying is he has taken us along way that is non negotiable but has he got what it takes to take us further.

JOe Royle did better with no money in a shorter amount of time and there may be another young manager like moyes was when he came who can push us on.

Care to explain this? I can't argue with the fact that yes we did win 1 trophy which in a way is better but can you remind what our league positions were during the same period?

  2. Fuckin quality!!! After the other week i thought we could do it but i didnt think we'd do it so well especially as we were missing timmy and felli. Fair play to the lads i'm proud of every single one of em, shame it makes that derby performance even more frustrating but enough of that, this a day for happiness!

Where does everyone think we can finish now then?

    Bring on sporting and spurs!!

  3. This has gotta be our best chance of winning at their place for a while now so yeah I'm feeling confident we can get something out of this, and to be honest I don't give a fuck if they dominate the game but we win 1-0 with a 95th minute Carragher og, they've robbed us enough times over the years!!

The trouble is these games don't often go with form and the RS have a habit of putting on a performance so could go either way, as has been said we need a ref up to the occasion as that's fucked us over before Clattenburg to mention just once.

2-1 to us Cahill & Donovan

  4. I've got quite a few mates who are leeds fans and none of them are bothered about him going, one of them who watches as many games as he can has been saying 'sell him for 50p if you have to' the last couple of weeks. I've watched a few games on tv myself this season and it's not just the fact that he seems to need about 10 chances to score one goal but also he can be very selfish, in fact I remember when they played the RS they might have won if he'd passed to someone clear in the box but instead he took it on himself and ran into wall of players. He adds almost nothing to the game apart from goals and he aint gonna be getting 20-30 goals in the prem is he?

I did hear what merson said about him and I was nodding my head in agreement, I don't want him here unless we're paying him next to nothing in wages, but given our financial position that probably isn't far from the truth!

Im not sure about this tbh. I dont mind him going as long as we have another CB available (Im 95% sure Duffy wont start). Hibbert and Neville have done alright at CB but that shouldnt be the solution we are left with, especially as we could have delayed the transfer for a week to get the Man City game out of the way.

Although Im not convinced by him at CB I am even less convinced by either Neville or Hibbert and I will be disgusted if Moyes has let him go without having a replacement lined up straight away or has someone back from injury.

Pretty much sums up my feelings on this. It doesn't fill me with any confidence at all. I'm hoping they've got someone else lined up but going on past form I very much doubt it!

  6. I'll admit I don't know loads about how these things work but one thing that stood out to me is that Forest have got a new 50'000 (approx) seater stadium planned to be ready by 2018, what puzzles me is they've been out of the top flight for several years now so how come they can afford to create that when we don't seem to have 2 pennies to rub together what the fuck's with that??

  7. That's a fair point really, I guess what I was really trying to say is that Neill was equally as bad and has enough experience playing CB (even if not for us) and that Hibbert didn't deserve such unbalanced criticism that's all, sorry for any offence.

By the way, did anyone watch MOTD???? How they managed to not include the mini scuffle between assou-ekoto and felli/cahill is beyond me, I wanted to see another replay of it but to no avail. I was also slightly pissed off that they made the game look seriously one-sided when in my opinion it was far from it.

  8.

Hibbert - Should not play CB in the Premiership ever again. He had a good game if you discount the fact that he lost his man for their first, gave away a stupid penalty, and got turned by Crouch and Defoe every time.

Neill - Didn't have a good game at all. Shocking marking on Dawson for their second, he needed to be looking at the ball coming in, not just his man . It was the first time he's played their for us so I won't judge him there yet.

I think that's a bit harsh on Tony though Romey. I'm not his biggest fan by any means but to seriously criticise him when we was playing out of position I think is unjustified, admittedly giving the penalty away wasn't one of his best moments but then you forgive Neill cos it's the first time he's played CB for us. Given the fact he's played there on many occasions for country at least if not for other clubs I feel he shouldn't have had too many problems.

Me thinks some people on here are very quick criticise Hibbert, granted he's far from our best player but he's even further from our best when played out of position

  9. I'm still not sure if this result has left me annoyingly frustrated or encouraged!!

I was tearing my hear out at the time but if we can kick on from this, beat athens on Wednesday which would almost certainly see us qualify and hammer spurs next Sunday then I think I'll be happy with things, especially as I know quite a few spurs fans and they're starting to get fuckin annoying talking of top four and even top three!!! So let's hope this is our moment when we finally click and go on a long run of form COYB!!!

As has been said before seeing Felli elbow Lucas was one of my highlights too :lol:

  10. I haven't seen any of last night's game, not even the goals but from what I've read on here and elsewhere it was another pretty poor performance. Then when I look at our upcoming league fixtures particularly the next two, I start to think that maybe there's a possibility of us being pulled into a relegation scrap? Maybe it's just me being my usual negative self but it reminded how during last season I told a barcode mate of mine that they wouldn't go down cause there were at least 3 clubs that were worse than them, and we all know how that ended!!

I'm not saying we're as bad as they were but we're not looking too good right now plus all our long term injured players having setbacks mostly delaying comebacks to the new year (why is that??) and thing's are looking the worst they have for a couple of years, well in my opinion anyway.

I still think we've got plenty of time to sort things out but is it a possibility?

  11. Given the situations with the red shite in Champs League I've been thinking more about the possibility of us having to play them in the EL knockout stages and how much chance there is of that happening.

The problem is I'm not sure how the draw works for the k/o stage now they've adapted the competition. Up until last season I understood despite the crazy idea of 5 teams per group it made the draw easier as 1st placed teams played 3rd places and 2nd places played CL drop-outs (Still the most ridiculously unfair part of the whole competition). As it's gone to 12 groups of 4 there's no way that can be done now so i'm wondering if anyone knows how it works now, whether it's based on the good old UEFA coefficients and seeded or not, I did have a quick look on their website but couldnt find anything that helped

    Anyone any ideas??

  12. I'm going for 2-1 to us, Cahill and Yak.

exactly what I was thinking, mates of mine slated me for being negative last time when I said we'd lose 3 or 4 nil, and although I can still see this going either way, the starting line-up should be stronger plus with the home atmosphere I think we can get the 3pts here and go back top of the group COYB!!!!!

  13. I know games aren't won on paper but looking at that squad we should be winning games like this by a couple of goals comfortably. I'm not saying that our younger players aren't up to the job but you compare that team to our matchday squad at games earlier in the season e.g. Fulham then there's a massive difference!

That being said from what I've seen and heard of Wolves this season they've been a bit up and down plus I think they'll be up for it and rested so who knows on the day but I'm gonna stick with us 2-0 Saha and Cahill

  14. It's great to see cofidence seems to be on the up (both with the players and most of us on here) but then 11 goals to nil over the last 3 games with 9 different scorers will do that I guess!!!

Surely we can beat Pompey on Saturday and that should take us into the top half so lets keep this run going COYB!!!!!!
