Is the last player in this summer, will you be happy? i reckon as long as we keep Cahill & Arteta, we should be ok, look quite strong actually.. I'd like us to bring in another midfielder though, and maybe another defender.

Peter Beagrie on loan is another i'd love to see.

To be fair in that sky sports article he just blames the injuries for not getting into the dutch squad not Everton. I reckon him and Moyes don't get on too well I think if he had a good relationship with the manager he might not be so keen to leave but we all know Moyes' reputation for not tolerating laziness. Would have liked to see this work but not that bothered if he goes but we would need to bring someone in on the left cos Killa isnt good enough and I don't think James McFadden's best position is wide left, we could always play Ossie there I suppose but that doesnt seem like the best idea. As someone else said I would have complained last summer if we had the chance tosign him and didn's so I think we have to accept that it is just one of those things that didn't work out.

Martyn is a great keeper, but i thing Howard should be first choice with our new look side for next season. 3 new signings and basically 2 more (hopefully) with VDM and Davies getting there shit together.

Things are looking good for us, i can't fooking wait till the season starts.

I'm really glad he's staying. i think he's gona shine next season, he just needed a settling in period.

VAN DER MEYDE TO STAY A TOFFEE

Everton winger Andy Van Der Meyde will not be leaving the club to join Galatasaray, according to his agent.

Chiel Dekker told The Liverpool Echo that the Dutchman wanted to stay at Goodison Park in order to prove himself to manager David Moyes.

"He's not going to Turkey, absolutely no way," said Dekker. "We are aware of an interest from Galatasaray but Andy wants to stay at Everton and prove himself. He is looking forward to going back for pre-season training."

Van Der Maeyde joioned Everton last summer from Inter Milan but made just seven starts, failing to complete the 90 mionutes once.

i support them wen theyre on the pitch..... i dont think it realyl matters wat i say on a forum does it? do they read it? does a forum post really matter to them? if it does they shouldnt be playing professional football

 

and to the person above efcfan give him a break? but hes awful... he was bought as a winger, he cant take sum1 on he cant cross, and wen hes in the middle he seems to move away from the ball....  on top of tht if theres space out wide he goes infield ... hes a waste of space in the line-up

am sorry but davies is 1 of the worst players ive ever seen at the club.... after watching him about 5 times i truely think hes bollox and if we cud get 2 mil id snap their hands off

Davies isn't shit, he does look like a confidence player though. He joins a new club ( from being in a good Spurs side) he sees his new club knocked out of 2 Euro trophies, and have one of the worst starts to a season ever. All the other players confidence is down, he's also not playing in a regular position.

Give the guy a fucking break, at least give him some support for next season, when we may actually have a nice settled squad with 2 ( perhaps more ) quality fresh faces.
